See there r few questions you should ask your self,
1. How much will it cost to break your bond? 2. How well can you prepare for CAT next year? 3. After working for a year would you come back for an MBA or not?
TAPMI is a great college....think on the above questions and take a decision!!
meberty Says
Continuing with the job is a better option provided, you are confident of preparing and doing well for the next year's CAT. Work exp is always good, but it should not happen that you reject TAPMI offer this year, gain exp, and get into some other college not as good as TAPMI next year!! So take your decision wisely
hi shweta
me in some what similar situation as u are.although i have 20 months wrk ex but leaving tapmi this yr for a college which stands no where next yr is useless. i am highly confused and above all lot to pay . so if u think with the increasing work load u wont be able to make it better nxt yr u shud go with tapmi. i hope u will decide the best for you.also u can consult seniors ,they are really helping and give u a clear picture abt the college.

Thanx a lot puys for your suggestions. Having read all your suggestions and giving it a serious thought considering my prospects for next year, i am quite convinced now to join TAPMI this year. Maybe I will be able to take a final decision in 3-4 days as to what should be my next step. Regards, Shweta
I have gone through most of the previous posts right from the 1st page till this one. My sister has got the offer letter dated 11 May.
Just a small query, I think this offer is for those 60 non approved AICTE seats. If she takes up this offer, will she be awarded degree from TAPMI or from Manipal Univ. and in case TAPMI gets approval for 60 seats each in BFSI, Healthcare etc etc, as per my observation it will have some serious impact on the 2010 batch as the batch size would more than double.
I know i am very late in asking this query. I would be grateful if someone can help me in this regards.
Deepak
Hi Deepak,
11th May list was for 120 AICTE approved seats. College is yet to take decision on rest 60 PGDM seats.
Guys...Have a doubt....we are paying a first installment of 3 lakh and ten thousand... However in annexure 4 .... Its given first installment amount as 2 lakh and 37 thousand.....will the extra amount that we pay will be deducted from the second installment...?? And also annexure 4 says one got to pay a refundable caution deposit of 15000 in the first installment.... How are we supposed to pay that
hey everyone...i did not get the offer letter so i called up jyothi mam,she sent me the soft copy of the offer letter...i was to recieve the hard copy in kolkata
Hey guys, Checking from the previous posts, the no of waitlist candidates should be at least 400 at present. Is there anyone here who has got a larger waitlist no? I dont intend to make this another full blown discussion/analysis session, I just hope to get an informative reply from a person who found out from the horses mouth that he is waitlisted >400. Thanks. Semantico.
Maybe a little off topic, but Can someone tell me how best to commute from Chennai to Manipal ?? I guess there's a train..but that's way too slow..
A faster way to reach would be to take a flight from Chennai to Mangalore. From Mangalore you can hire a cab and reach TAPMI in a little over an hour. But in my opinion this would be a little expensive.

I think you can, but u should talk to the admissions dept.
Why do u wanna come through chennai? I think coming through bangy is a better option, manipal is overnight bus ride from bangy.
i'll be in chennai after my exams get over.. so if coming through bangalore is a better option, then u mean using a volvo? how long is that journey??
@iim.dude, thanks for the reply.. but i would prefer not to fly
@sudhanya, pls go back a few pages, u'll get all the details u asked for.. DD should be drawn in favour of "T.A.PAI MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE" payable at Manipal / Udupi. You will need to sign and send the Initial Acceptance Letter (which you'll receive with your offer letter or email) along with the DD. No other documents need to be sent.
