Hi all, I converted TAPMI on 11th but am in a dilemma as to join it or not.
I am an engg grad with decent acads.
Joined an IT company in Dec '09 and got trained in SAP. Working on a project since last 1.5 months.
Was wondering if I should break my bond and get into TAPMI this year or wait for an year's experience as right now I would be considered a fresher...
Also considering the present scenario in my job I might not be able to manage some great calls next year.
Would be great someone could plz suggest something.
See there r few questions you should ask your self,
1. How much will it cost to break your bond?
2. How well can you prepare for CAT next year?
3. After working for a year would you come back for an MBA or not?
TAPMI is a great college....think on the above questions and take a decision!!

Continuing with the job is a better option provided, you are confident of preparing and doing well for the next year's CAT. Work exp is always good, but it should not happen that you reject TAPMI offer this year, gain exp, and get into some other college not as good as TAPMI next year!! So take your decision wisely

College starts 1st july, even I haven't received the letter!!!
even i recieved my confirmation on 11th and somewhere on thread i read last date for 11th confirmation to pay 1st installment is 20th.it's 14th already.When will i recieve the courier what if i don't.They should have sent an e-mail or uploaded the instructions on the web site.
SOME SENIOR PLEASE COME TO THE RESCUE.

I called up the admissions office and told them regarding this -
All you need to do is - send the Scanned copy of the offer letter & the DD to [email protected] and/or [email protected].
You HAVE to courier the hard copy - but sending the scanned docs is just to be on the safer side - and for our satisfaction and mental relief..
Hope this helps to releive tension..

How is the placement scene for a guy looking for consultancy ?
Do we have consultancy profiles offered ,if yes it would be great if you can mention a few ........for example if KPMG or deloitte then what profiles they offer.....
You could have looked for the list of recruiting partners for placement 2010. It would have easily solved your query.

Guys please understand that we cannot do anything to make sure you get your courier quickly 😃 Wait till 4PM today and in case you dont receive your letter by then call up admission office and ask for soft copy (if possible). Now that you know that a DD of 1 Lakh needs to be made, you can get that ready in the meantime.

I went for loan to two different branches of HDFC bank one said that I can get loan upto 12 lakhs without collateral and the other is saying that above 7.5 lakhs I have to deposit collateral. Now I am at a fix whom to believe as I have to resign also and I dont want to get screwed at the loan processing time as I require a loan of 10 lakhs without collateral. If any senior can give some concrete answer whether an HDFC bank give loan upto 12 lakhs without collateral..
It's clearly mentioned on HDFC website that for the premier institutes, 12 lakhs can be availed without collateral.. The link has already been posted twice on the thread...
After reading on website I called up HDFC delhi customer care to enquire about the details.. She said thatt an official from loan division will give me a call with in 24 hours. I got a call next day only.. He asked me the details of the institute, who'll be my coborrower and all.. After checking in his list, he told me that 10.25% is the rate of interest.. I told him that the institute has recommended HDFC and my senies have been getting at 10%(***ANY WAY you can negotiate*** how smart you can be
).. he asked his boss and then said that OK, 10% done!!! Then I kept on negotiating on every clause..I'm still waitlisted.. but that guy gives me a call every third day asking about 'Did I receive my letter?'.. TAPMI has a good name.. All you've to do is to use it before them... Tell them that you've other choices also and TAPMI is in the elite list of every bank.. Let them call you.. Don't go to them
!!PS: He even offered that he can start processing.. aand I can send him scanned offer letter later...

me in some what similar situation as u are.although i have 20 months wrk ex but leaving tapmi this yr for a college which stands no where next yr is useless.
i am highly confused and above all lot to pay .
so if u think with the increasing work load u wont be able to make it better nxt yr u shud go with tapmi.
i hope u will decide the best for you.also u can consult seniors ,they are really helping and give u a clear picture abt the college.

If she takes up this offer, will she be awarded degree from TAPMI or from Manipal Univ. and in case TAPMI gets approval for 60 seats each in BFSI, Healthcare etc etc, as per my observation it will have some serious impact on the 2010 batch as the batch size would more than double.
I know i am very late in asking this query. I would be grateful if someone can help me in this regards.

The offers on 11th may are for 120 approved seats only.
Admission office has made it clear that if they don't get approval for PGDM 60 seats.. they will keep the number to 120 only.. but BFS and IB, they are defintely starting it either with AICTE or manipal.
