I did convert many other calls but keeping in mind work-ex, my area of work-ex, current govt stance on loan which is hugely due change next year, my maturity level of looking at exams, other opportunities, link ups, professional contacts and a lot of others things, I have decided not to join anything this year. I may even look at gmat or a masters in economics sometime in the future if the indian mba doesn't happen where i want :)
I have learnt a lot of lessons this year so I am hoping to make the best out of them the next year.

Possible location can be Forum mall, where we had a meet with the seniors last month. Any other suggestions are also welcome.

I think the situation would be clear by 26th itself. We might get the word from the seniors or the admin staff on the day itself. Neither the admin nor us can afford to waste even a single day now. As per my talk with Sir, he hoped to find answers by 26th evening itself.
And I agree with Rohan, all of us need to be prepared in advance for anything. Keep praying.

I was trying to locate TAPMI on the satellite view of Google Maps. It is showing the campus is just opposite Manipal Police Station. Is it the new campus or the old one?

Yes dude.. Some people sitting as loan officers in these banks dish out such s****y explanations that you get pissed off..
I got furious when a loan officer in syndicate bank showed me some order document (from the state government), stating that maximum amount cap for Mba - tution fee to be granted is 40k.. I told him tat you will be not able to fund more than 2-3 colleges in the top 20, or for tat matter any MBA aspirant.. I asked him why do you publicize in the websites saying maximum amount as 10L and 12L... N then came the bumper answer, this 40k cap is a directive by Tamil Nadu state govt.. Phew !!!! Man.. why do you have national websites then??
I do agree loan defaults are a concern, but one would atleast expect a rational response.. Afterall we are trying for education loans and not car loans...

Thats the old campus, which now houses the `Manipal Institute of Management'. which offers BBA etc. The new TAPMI campus is way behind the police station. and its pretty much isolated from the rest of Manipal.
No they dint charge me anything. For corp bank, processing fee is charged only if you apply a loan for studying abroad.

I think any laptop that can run windows office and other daily use softwares will suffice the need. Even those new "netbooks" are powerful enuf for the job!!

If it is clear by 26th, we all will be happy.. but, somone said tat Saturday is holiday.. If they r working on holiday to clear the air, i have no problems.. At-least we will have some more time for paying fees in case approval comes..
is it for sure that they will release the information on the 26th? because as it is they have been delaying too much for everything so i have a doubt they will have any information by tomorrow. and when you call them they will again say "tomorrow". if seniors have come back from their internships, i plead them to get some update on this and let us know.
