Just called CBDT. They asked bout my rank n told me dat I have got Mumbai zone. Mumbai was my 2nd preference n Delhi was first. Anyways guys call CBDT n pour in d good news. Best of luck guys.

Yup, u r right and I should rather take it positively as I am having the opportunity to visit & stay in an entirely new place, new people, new culture. I am getting viceversa replies about zone allcation of tax asst in cbdt.One has informed that it will take another one month and one has told it will be by one or two weeks.If anyone have any news regarding this please elucidate

There is a site indeed but the ZA has not been uploaded on the site yet. Those who know about it, got it by phone. The info will shortly be available o National Website of Income Tax Department of India under the section departmental news.

well sandip, i think all you can do is wait...it's really grilling to wait at this moment, i understand...keep calling them so as to keep pressure

Hi Puys..I have a query

God forbid, if we don't get our first preference zone then is there any chance of transfer after joining the allocated zone?? And how many years of minimum service is required for demanding transfer??

Please try to get this information if you know anyone from Excise or IT dept.

What is ur status as on now. I mean could u get ur place of choice?

Has anyone figured out what we are supposed to do next? Do we have to undergo physical (Not likely), training, whether police verification will be done before or after joining, how many years before we can give promotion exams etc. Lets share information guys.
What I know-
I am pretty sure that we will be in 2 year probation.
One gets 10 attempts for dept exam. (plenty)

The zone allocation of tax assistant in cbdt has put to DG today and expected to signed in two three days if no more hiccups in the way.This information comes from one of my friend in fb.Hope this would be right.........

dear i m still waiting to collect the details of joining abt cag as auditor,,,,,,,,,,,,, but abhi tak kuch maalum nahi hai....... kuch log bol rahe hain ki sept. tak aane ki ummid hai aur kuch bol rahe hain ki august mai hi aa jaayega........... so if u know anything please share..............
