thanx for the reply. there have been a lotta pending cases in the previous years of recruitment for whatever reason. assuming that i send my change in address to the people concerned at cbec would or can my case be treated as pending or provisional due to the request for a change in communication address and my posting/appointment Delayed FURTHER?
The zone allocation of CBDT is delayed again.Few provissional cases dossiers are reached to them and the dicission is pending for them.If CBDT takes the dicission to accept those then the delay may be long.
AND THE concerned officer is on leave for two days.So no advancement is possible in next two days.
Lets hope it completes in this month.

There is "running around" only for the range/Field duty which is alternating every 2 years with office snd other duties. Night shifts are not common. This is the experience of my friend who's there in CBEC from SSC 2006.

I called today HRD section again and they told me that it will take time?I asked how much sir?Then he informed that it will take around two months time.So another twist in the tale.Do you have any other updates?

and i am considering of filing an RTI regarding this...but sadly i do not know the procedure and whom to approach for this....can anyone help me in this regard...

I would advise u against it. Moreover I have got news from some source that they are waiting for remaining nominations to reach them. Hence it would be better to wait and watch.
Your concerns are genuine but I don't think your case can become just by changing ur correspondence address. Anyway u can talk to, 'The Director General of Income Tax(HRD), ICDR Building, Plot No.6, Vasant Kunj Institutional Area, Phase-II, New Delhi-70' ,regarding change of address.
yar koi to btao kab tak hogi joining.......in my view ssc should maintain the status on weekly basis about the progress and be very clear about the date of physical/medical and date of joining...yaha to koi responsibility lene ko taiyar hi nahi hai,,,lagta hai anna ko btana padega ye matter....

Only Chief Commissioner of Income Tax of concerned zone can start the joining formalities like verification, medical etc. He comes in the loop only after the allocation of zones. Hence no guess can be made until the process of allocation is over which may take two more months.
thanks dear, i think we should not expect the joining before 6 months,what about the physical and medical in cbec ,it is tough or easy ,unless it happens we cant be sure of selection....
