I just called cbdt on the number 01126125213.They suggested me to enquire after 20 days.
Could you please elaborate as to how long will the process take between allocation of zones and actual date of joining. There is a lot of confusion about this. Some of my friends say that it would be atleast Dec of Jan before we get our joining letter. Pl throw some light.
Hi, My rank in ITI is SLA/60. Will it be possible to get my first choice (Delhi)?
Thanks for a quick and reassuring response. Further Could you please elaborate as to how long will the process take between allocation of zones and actual date of joining. There is a lot of confusion about this. Some of my friends say that it would be atleast Dec of Jan before we get our joining letter as medical and attestation will take a minimum of 6 months. Pl throw some light.
The zone allocation of CBDT is delayed again.Few provissional cases dossiers are reached to them and the dicission is pending for them.If CBDT takes the dicission to accept those then the delay may be long. AND THE concerned officer is on leave for two days.So no advancement is possible in next two days. Lets hope it completes in this month.

This is what I got from SSC-2010 community on page 435.
"Here is region-wise detail of number of vacancies for Insp in Excise in UR category--------- Bangalore 63, Bhubneshwar 5, Chandigarh 2, Chennai 38, Cochin 24, Delhi 19, Goa 3, Hyderabad 39, Jaipur 8, Kolkata 26, Lucknow 7, Patna 25, Shilong 10 & Vadodara 14."
If I go by this, there are not many seats in Delhi or Chandigarh to give you a good chance.
Hi guys, This is a off topic question but it is very important to me. So please give your reviews. I joined an MNC few months back with 2 yrs. bond of 2 lacs, and it was also mentioned that if I break the bond I cannot join any other firm, company, business, undertaking or trade. Now, I am selected for TA in CBEC in cgl10. So, if I break the bond will the MNC stop me from joining in TA in CBEC.

They can't stop you from joining anywhere. You just have to pay the bond amount, Even on that also you can bargain. I know quite a few guys who managed to get their contract back for a fraction of bond amount. As far as joining as TA is concerned, I would advise you to give it one more go and join as ITI or equivalent post. The reason for this is that when u appear for a second time u have more chances of getting selected with higher percentage as u are better experienced now. Also by the time the selection process of CGL 11 is over, you will have completed your bond period. On the flip side there is a risk that u may not be able to qualify the second time. So its your call as its u who have to finally bite the bullet.

Thanks for your reply. But it is written in the bond that I cannot work for any other firm, business, company, undertaking, or trade. So, I just wanted to know that is govt. job comes under any of the above means firm, undertaking or trade .

Oh come on dude...I broke a bond in January, for joining SBI, of 2 years-2 lacks amount...Even I gave them a cheque also while joining that company...When I absconded they sent me 2-3 notices n dats all...No worries...Still better if u make a deal with them n leave on good terms...Else chill...By d way which company r u talking bout...?

As per the constitution of india, citizen of our country can be forced to work only in forces(army, navy, airforce, paramilitary, police etc.)So be sure that you can leave that job without any hesitation. And if this is MNC then govt will never object your joining in cbec as you don't need any NOC from them. Though you'd signed the bond so my advice is that you pay the bond amount and get releived. If there is anything written ( as you'd mentioned ) then you can afford to leave the company without paying bond amount as it will not be valid in indian court.

Hitesh,
As pointed out by Maha, the better option would be to go for the exam again, make it into ITI etc and then leave the company. Tax assistant is great but, then again, if you are doing nothing, it's okay. You are already working with an MNC, if you are going to leave that, the post must be good enough for you to do so.
Try and get in touch with some Tax assitants, learn about the salary structure, work and lifestyle. So that you can better evaluate whether it really is worth the quit.
hi I have been nominated as SI in CBI from KKR.My verification and medical are over,I have been waiting for the OL for the past 3 months.Does anyone know the latest updates on these postings? pls inform. regards rckumar
That's just a crap. No organisation can deny an individual an opportunity to rise higher in his/her life. It would amount a violation of one's fundamental right to choose any profession. They have added these lines in the contract to deter the employees from crossing over to other organisations. It's only the bond amount that u have to pay at the most.
