There r 2 trains which run everyday from mumbai to hyderabad via pune..cant recollect the name..it crosses pune at around 4:00 pm and reaches hyde early morning....
the other one reaches pune late in the nite and reaches hyde late in the morning. Yu u also find out about buses...

Cm in sibm is pretty good in terms of placements with major ad agencies coming down to campus. this year our seniors have some very good placements. so no harm in getting in, and abt MICA it is a specialized course. i have not much idea abt that. you would do good if u can find someone from there and extract details.

GD topics/Interview stress on particular topic etc...anything which is of help.

The sibm prospectus specifies that there is a 150 marks weightage to the xat score. So plsss can u guys post yr xat overall score on d thread so that we know where we guys stand.
To calculate yr xat overall score u do the following:
My xatistics are:
Sectionwise Score % Score Relative Percentage Percentile
Quantitative and Analytical Ability24.89 40.59 91.6
Verbal and Logical Ability34.35 53.17 93.56
General Awareness24.77 36.13 93.97
Total28.38 61.58 97.04
My overall %score is 28.38. therefore i find 28.38%of 175 which works out to around 49.66 marks.
In qa it is yr %score from 75 marks(total q's in qa)
Va it is %score from 65.
Ga it is %score from 35.
Therefore the total is 175 multiplied by yr overall %score.
Another noticeable fact is that my score 49.66 has an overall relative percentage of 61.58.
Thus the all india topper in xat mussve scored arnd 81 marks(who are these people???)
Thereby i seem to have conceded a maximum lead of around 32 marks assuming that he has applied to sibm(pray to thee lord).
In case u guys get d same figure lemme know(even if u dont pls point it out).
Also the weightage attached to d written test is 150 marks and not 175 so the lead hopefully trims down even more.
Pls mention your scores out of 175 marks(never know when they change criteria,taking worst case scenario into consideration) instead of %iles so that we know our positions and what kind of deep shit are we in.

GD will be on regular topics, may be u might have a gd on advertising issues, u really cant say, as regards to happenings in the ad world u may refer to brand reporter, brand equity, etc.
2. see the areas that you mentioned above are not creative in real sense but i guess u should use ur creativity in dealing with ur clients or products or bith when u handle them.
3. we generally stay out since the hostel closes by 10 in the night. since we always have assignments that require us to sit up late in night in temas, staying out gives us the flexibility in that regards.
4. another imp reason is that after u finish with ur MBA studies u can chill out at E-Square a movie multiplx by catching a late night show at 2330 hrs. would be good fun.
anyways that does not take away anything from hostels. u can have fun there too. everything has its own advantages and disadvantages
