folks!! SIBM , in the call letter, specified that all certificates must be brought in original.i dont have my +2 marks card with me. it is with the college authorities where i am yet to finish my graduation. and they dont/wont give that certificate till i finish my graduation..i mean, they will give it, along with my degree and all.
what should i do? will an attested Xerox copy suffice, for the time being?
i am still in ecstatic disbelief, bcoz my scores are:
QA : 46.94 percentile.
VA : 90.69 percentile
GA : 34.28 percentile.
overall : 70.17 percentile.
and i got call for MBA-CM...i gave up actually..but this call surpirsed me.
what cud've been the cutoff... any idea folks?

i would definitely would have got a call at 86.33! that would have been my first call after a fiasco of mba entrances :grab: ]
any ways nothing to complain! better things to come!

u shud be glad,,,
though are u sure that yr %ile is 67?? did u chk yr percentile after they (XAT auth) changed the percentile...??
if not plz chk yr percentile again in xat!!
also congrats once again 4 gettin a call for DUAL MBA and not for COMMUNICATIONS MNGT. (its written in red that u hv been shortlisted for dual mba in yr last post.)

I think everything is pretty clear. Keep in mind that they gave time to apply after the XAT results were out and those souls who didnt manage either XLRI or XIMB had a whale of a time applying for SIBM. I think SIBM is pretty smart.. First they cashed the ones with confidence and then , the ones with real scores. And for dual course, they had more than what they wanted at 96.21 % ile. And those who applied for CM got lucky because not many seemed to have aspired for it...
By the way, if someone from SIBM happen to come across it, your tactics stinks...! Ever heard of MDI or SP Jain extending their dates after taking applications long before the announcement of the score sheets. I think I made a grave error of taking yours to be one with a set of standards. And thanks for that encouraging letter... You add insult to injury..!!!
And just to tell you that you can beat me, but you cant break me. I've fight left in me...
No mate, it's precisely because they don't have sectional cut-offs that you haven't got through. For XLRI, the only section looked at was QA, where since you have 95+ you would be through.
For SIBM the over score is looked at and the cut-off seems to be in the region of 96.20 so you prolly just missed out.
XLRI of course has a much higher Brand Equity and placements so if you convert that you're better off. ATB with that.

The only possible explnataion is that the people with 43 / 67 percentiles HAVEN'T checcked the revised results. They must have scored much higher.

Yes u r rite i totally agree....SIBM extended its date thrice...when around 10 th December just before their closing date after first extension there was a dearth of forms i called them up and a very RUDE person told me that the date wont be extended again in any circumstances and i shud send the DD of rs 1200 asap....i somehow found a forme in a remote reliance webworld....and purchased it and that nite on checking out SIBM's site i found that the date was extended till end jan!!!I was cunningly fooled into buying the damn form .....if they had to extend the date they cud have told it intitally ....or is it all a well planned extortion??:wow:
WHAt the hell its all hard earned money??I believe date of forms shud be after the result no doubt but at least they can declare the same rite at the start...Anyway all the best to those who made it hope the dont charge u something more for the gd/pi

I m the one with 67 % tile and call . i am equally clueless about this call thing. i just checked my mail id today n saw tht mail n only after that i checked my XAT result as i m pretty sure tht i screwed it.
I m seriously feeling sorry for u guys but i cant do anything . I will check my score card and will again update u guys about it.
