@nikhilbrad@kssrisha1989 From the website i can see that SIBM-B has only 150 seats for the 2013-15.. Would this surely be the case or there are chances that the number of seats would be increased? Also, how is it for the current 2012-14 batch?
As of this year (2013-15) we are not increasing any seats. Its the same for the 12-14 batch as well.
Results update:It might come late tomorrow or day after tomorrow. Till then, keep the questions coming
Day after tomorrow? But wasn't it supposed to come tomorrow? SIIB also did the same thing 3-4 times. SIBM-Pune and SCMHRD released the list of the selected candidates even before the scheduled dates.
Isn't this itself a question on the institute's quality and capability?

No!! Not at all! It does NOT puts a question on the institute's quality and capability!!
You need to understand that there is a university in Pune which has a set of rules which all of the constituent colleges have to follow. And only after the approval from the University, it (results) go to the vendor which is again, a 3rd party. They take their own sweet time sometimes.
The result may still come out tomorrow as per schedule but I, for one, was just trying to inform you all here. Secondly, if bringing your result prior to the scheduled dates makes a big difference in establishing an institute's credentials- well then we will work on it as well!
@nikhilbrad No one in PG can defeat the friendliness and maturity of the seniors of SIBM-B. Thanks. 😃 By the way nikhil, what was the name of the vice-president of student's council (or something like that), tall and heavy guy.

i think he himself nikhil sinha is the vice president of student's council...
@VijayRawat; @nikhilbrad I also agree with the fact that bringing the result beforehand adds to the feather in the reputation of the Institute as many of the Top B-Schools are doing it which can also helps them in tackling the immediate heavy rush of students which sometimes leads to crashing of servers....... and I am sure SIBM-B will definitely give a thought to this aspect also........:)

No sir, it does not in my opinion. It's better to give you concrete information which has been vetted by the central university than cause errors and play with the lives/careers of an aspirant. Also, going by that logic, if a student has multiple offers and he/she chooses one but doesnt inform the other institutes, is it a question on the student's integrity or capability. I would say not. Everybody is looking out for the best intentions of the others
Nissan has a global campaign where it conducts a business plan competition across colleges in India (AFAIK, unaware of the global scenario). Colleges are distributed into four zones, North, South, East , West. The panel consists of eminent personalities (last year we had Prahlad Kakkar as one of the panelists and the qualification round was conducted in SIBM-B by the way) and they judge your presentation. Once selected, you go up against the selected few from the 4 zones in Mumbai where the Student Brand Managers are chosen. Nikhil Malhotra was one of the few (around 8-10) brand managers selected by Nissan across India. These students get a monthly stipend and some capital to pursue their plan and of course spread awareness about Nissan in general.

Although I agree that every aspirant awaits results with a certain amount of trepidation and that they expect institutes to give it to them the very next day (if that was possible) but there are certain limitations to the entire process. Firstly, the tentative date was set by the Admissions Department (not the Admissions Committee) of SIBM-B keeping in mind that various processes involved. Secondly, the final list has to be calculated, verified and re-verified and the merit and wait lists have to be populated. Please note, a single error here is a grievous sin as it makes or breaks an aspirant's career. This again has to be vetted by the central university and SIBM-B needs to await their approval before publishing the results. All of this takes a lot of time and care in doing and the Ad.Dept has everyody's best intentions in their mind. They could very well have given an April timeline and thereby by publishing the results mid-March might have taken brownie points on publishing results 15 days in advance but that's not how things are supposed to work.
Please bear with the entire process in general. I wish you the very best in all your future endeavors!
@kshitijsharma Sir, I was saying that if a institute (that too a management institute) is announcing a certain date for something then it is its duty to abide by its own words. It does not leave a very good impression on students, parents and others and it puts a question on the institute's capability of maintaining the value of its own words. Nothing more nothing less.
SIBM-B is great, you are awesome and I'd be happy to be at SIBM-B. (Ok?) :)

Whoa, Whoa. My post was in no way meant to antagonise you nor come out all praises for the entire process. I know there are certain gaps in the process which could be addressed but rest assured, Nikhil would do all in his power to get you the results by tomorrow. After all, it wasnt for nothing he was voted the best Student Coordinator of SIBM-B
