no, nothing as yet, but these comments look promising to me. earlier ones were just speculation. but awasthi has claimed that he got the info from a social contact and another guy got a call in ahmedabad so i guess it really is happening now.
about wht we have to do in rbi---- my broher's branch manager's nephew working in rbi and his salary is about 70000/ month and his work is just calculate coin and packing those,,... he he he he ...

@may25892 bhai u will become eligible for promotion after 3 years n there will be 700- 1000 capable people willing and capable of clearing the exam in merit n vacancies will be around 50 (guess)...so things will depend more on interview....n yess lest say that u r a po in a bank and i am in rbi...ur salary now = 27000, after pay comission - 34000 after 3 years - 44000 n in rbi mine will be 27000 after comission and after 3 years if i get promotion my salary will be 50000 + so career in rbi starting from assistant will catapult ahead of a person joining psu bank as po after 3-4 years.........n satarday off must also b considered .cheers to rbi
@maddy2742 yes rbi revises pay with commercial banks and recommendation has gon for 30 % basic pay hike......

@nitin20maybhai i wud say rbi assistant is best....suppose u work with sbi n with next promotion they send u to assam, rajasthan jammu kashmir sikkim then u will b made to bear the brunt n these days rural posting is mandatory for promotion n also after promotion , ur responsibility will grow multifold n there r many instances when managers had to face worst consequences for mistakes done by their teams, n also u will have salary but no time to spend in po....work load willl effect ur whole life.......in rbi, work atmosphere is so different n u get due respect salary difference is 10 - 20 % only but u also get chances to have international stints with imf world bank asian dev bank etc after promotions to higher grades..........so in any case rbi is better ...if u anybody has differwnt opinion pls share....

@trvg she said rbi is better than any bank, said u r lucky to get it ...as this opportunity comes one in someones carees as recruitment for assistant is held after 15-20 years....grade b is another entry point but that is tougher than IAS....said u r offered a lot of special prerequisited etc , promotions is there for willing people (as transfer comes with promotion , some people avoid it), all offices are in cheart of cities, u can end up as DGM in rbi which is better than a comm bank gm (that u dont normally get to be in a comm bank as there is so much political influence for this post)/....etc
@AwasthiusCesar try not to gauge one's career solely based upon the income. RBI's income totally depends upon the perfornmance of a PSU bank. Apart from that, a PO's job is highly dynamic. Assistant is just gonna sit on the chair and do manual work.
PO will generate money for the bank and on the other hand, assistant will just fill books.
There are pros and cons for the both the positions, so we should try not to underestimate any of one of those.....................cheers
@sdm_infinity yes bt some one mentioned in this forum rbi staffs are expecting a 30 % hike then it will be around 27 ......n in commercial banks hike s abt 20-25 % so it will b around 30 k + perks .....
@AwasthiusCesar this is pure EXAGGERATION. have a look at the pattern of UPSC and RBI's Grade B officer. And finally, even D Subbarao doesn't get a RED LAMP car.
