@maddy2742 well look buddy..do not even try to compare 6 days a week in bank branches & in RBI offices....pressure is way less unless U are working in counters....I am not sure but the 3 depts works on saturdays must be getting some sort of allowance to balance it
@hellosubho01 yup i was shattered to hear that 6 days wrk ...as lady who was there during my interview told me , u will wrk only fr 5 days .....!! i hope her statement s true , may be new recruits wont wrk there ...as on sat. one gets 200 % salary than nrmal ..read this in rbi website just now !!
@hellosubho01 even fr late wrking hrs i.e 15 min mre than nrmal they r paid on hourly basis ..!! 200 % * nrml wrking hrs !!
@maddy2742 Well,I work for UBI in Kolkata...Here I got the info from the sub staffs, who remit cheques to RBI clearing houses,that there are quite a few vacancies in clearing houses so for Kolkata,I have no doubt that some of us have to work here.....But still I would prefer 6 days in RBI than 6 days as PO in branches any day...Let's see what happens!!!

@maddy2742 Yes I think so....not a lot of typing..but entering daily data,figures,numbers in excel sheets,making sheets about various things.....kind of work that happens in our regional offices & Head Offices..although this might vary from Depts to Depts
hi frnd i got 185 marks in IBPS-II. i have also selected in Vananchal Gramin Bank PO(joining date is 7th Nov 2012) and RBI Assistant ( joining may be in mid Nov 2012) and now in IBPS-II.

VANANCHAL GRAMIN PO IS BEST ACCORDING TO ME...
RBI IS ASSISTANT POST JUST LIKE CLERK LIKE ANY BANK BUT DUE TO RBI SALARY IS GOOD ..BUT PO IS OFFICER POST AND IBPS IF U QUALIFY STILL THE SAME BANK WITH SAME PAY SCALE AND THAT MAY TAKE TYM OR YEAR SO IF U WILL JOIN NOW U WILL BE SENIOR AND DURING PROMOTION IT WILL HELP...AND TRY FOR SBI -PO IF SELECTED THEN JOIN IT ..ATB

i hope i get the letter by wednesday, will be a good dussehra gift.

@nitin20may Look buddy..first ask urself..what do u want??Are u gonna like working in RRBs & gramin banks???providing service to poor & needy people?? If yes that by all means go with RRBs or Vananchal......Do U aspire to be a GM or executive banker one day???Wanna leap through the hierarchy of commercial banks???Then choose IBPS PO & get into PNB,BOB,BOI etc....But remember,after joining as PO U might not get enough time to study further or switch....Choose RBI only if U wanna work with the Bankers of the bank,wanna feel proud as an RBI employee & have easy,comfortable life..mind it that the salary diff is not much in RBI asst & PO....Think & choose!!
