does anybody has any information regarding aimcat series in time??? Is the aimcat series started?? and apart from time is there any other coaching which has mockcat series???
I have got a final convert from IIM-I PGP,
My profile is ~6 yr exp in product based company (Lucent, Juniper & cisco)
I am looking for a Product management/General management profile post mba,
but I am not sure what kind of JOB profiles will be offered for some one like me at IIM-I.
Also will exp be a hindrance during placements ?
Will my current pay have any role in placements ?
What are the avg package offered for the product/general management at IIM-I?
or Should I look out for ISB or exec MBA from IIM-ABC instead of pgp all together ?

I have a work-Ex of 34 Months and now with job its impossible to go properly and full fledge into CAT Prep as because i am in telecomm sector and in O & M.
So we are on 24*7 on call job too which seriously destroys everything stilll I am hanging in with these preparations.....
Was thinking of Leaving my JOB and prepare for it.....
What do u ppl think...

Friends I need yr help!! I completed my b.com. in 2009. Gave 2 attempts to CAT. I was not successful. I did not work to my optimum level. I spent 2 years just in this. I have been a good student throughout my career. But because I did not give my best, I underperformed. I want to give the exam again. I don't like to give up but will it be worth it? I don't want to screw up further... please advice me

1> Convergys. 3.5 L during traininng which lasts a year and a "3 year bond."Good company..Post training package is pretty cool.
2> Mphasis...3 Lakh. 2 year bond
3> BIMTECH (pgdm)
P.S Im okay with breaking my bond So d bond is not an issue.
My CAT %ile was 80..and it dipped solely coz of my quant. Ppl tell me once u join a job u wont get the time..the percentile will suck even more in ur next attempt. I think i can work up on the Quant because its not that bad. It was just this one time that it dipped so low. I convrted all my calls this year. But next year, getting a proper score and converting the calls is a mad gamble. Hence the confusion.:lookround:

Good company..Post training package is pretty cool. Nothing is better than getting some work-ex and then doin an MBA coz u get to know the industry in a better way and also u can develop urselves in a better way...........although u will find a decent job as a fresher also after ur MBA but still i would suggest that go for a job...........u have to understand the business b4 administrating it.............hope this helps.........rest is your choice

Go for Mphasis.Its a good company to work for and you'll get a lot more thing to learn there.MBA after some work-experience is always good as you can connect with a lot of things during those 2 years of study to what you've done during your work.
Also,stop listening to guys who tell you that its impossible to prepare after you join a company.Its one of the biggest myth.I know a lot of guys who were preparing for CAT during their tough work schedule and were still able to get good percentile and converted good colleges.

Nyways..still try to get into some company..I wont really suggest to get into a B grade B skool. So focus only on top 20-30 clgs.

See even if u do some relevant work but still since its ur OWN company so there is always some doubt on how credible the work ex is. I mean one can show fake work ex as well. However I m not very sure on this issue.

I am having an offer from mu sigma as bussiness analyst and Infosys as pre sales consultant..which one will be better..i am working with infosys technologies for last 22 months..As far as mu sigma is concerned ..it is having hectic work load and wont get much time to study for CAT.

What is the best way to show these extra-curricular activities (a letter/ certificate etc ??), as I think these would help me during the interviews and also to build a decent profile.
I have recently started taking active part in the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) wing of my company. Even for this i didn't approach them for any certificates etc. Do corporates provide such certs?
I am also involved with CRY and again i don't have any certificates here . I don't think CRY provides any certificates but then how would I prove myself in an interview ?

Widout a certificate,u shudnt even mention xtracurriculars.So try to get certificates/letters from organizations where u worked as a proof.
U shud get them easily but if u dont then all ur work will be of no use widout any written proof

in my opinion if you are looking for a relaxed life thn the Govt. Bank job is the best.
The BA in IT giants is just another job but it totally depends upon you how u capitalise on whatever is thrown at you just be on a look out for opportunities while u r at it.

Certificates are not all that necessary, you should be able to tell very clearly what all you have done, and at the same time your ideas should be clear if questioned any ambigous statements would result in distrust. so be clear with whatever u put in your profile

Although MU Sigma is gonna be a hectic place, but would give u a great exposure. I would suggest MU Sigma over Infosys any day.

I work in mu-sigma as a business analyst and work is truly quite hectic..........it is almost 10 hrs a day on an average and extends upto 12-14 hrs depending upon requirements of ur project............post mu-sigma u can get very good opportunities in other consultancies with a much higher pay package and better profile...........also ur work-ex will stand apart frm regular it guys when u go for ur cat and other exams.........it depends on you hw soon u want to a post-grad.......u will not get much time to study for cat,dat is quite sure.......
