I ll suggest go for CTS. It doesnt have a bond which is gud for u considering ur MBA plans. Also CTS has a better career prospects in long term than Wipro. This I know as I have many frnds working in both these companies.

Go for CTS. Dont even think about wipro. CTS work culture and the project which they hav currently is good. And Since you are planning for the MBA it would be easy. I have PM my no. gimme me a call if you need any help.

You want admission this year without even appearing for a single entrance exam??!! Didn't you anticipate your current situation earlier?? Or you just thought it's easy enough to get an admit??

Anyway, unless and until you have some 'shady sources' of your own, who would obviously demand a hefty price, it's impossible to gain a decent admit without appearing for any entrance exam.

Hi All,

I am in a dilemma to choose an option. I currently have a 7 lakh job and working as a project manager in a US based IT company and a work ex of 3 years. Is it worth for me to do an MBA now , and that too from TAPMI?

Here my academic profile:
Xth: 91%
XII th- 95%
BE - CSE- 83 %
Work ex: 3 years in an IT company

Offers:
IMT- Converted Hyderabad 😞 not joining
FORE : converted but not joining
TAPMI- Converted
BIM- Awaiting results

This was my 4th attempt at CAT .
So what will be the suggestion and your take on this? Should i do MBA now? If yes , TAPMI or BIM?
Are there any other alternatives ? IS executive MBA advisable for an experience of 3-4 years with an IT background.

I had already posted this but didnt get more replies or suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Hi all,
I needed some career advice. Please help.
I am currently a SAP consultant with 3 years (approx)experience,2 years as a developer and now as a functional consultant in a major mnc.
My query is whether I should go for MBA(gmat to be more specific)
My confusion is because of some specific reasons.
right now SAP Consultants are in much demand so would a 1 year gap prove much of a hindrance for me getting back to this field(I plan to pursue MBA in IT only,no change of domain for me).:cheerio:
also currenly m having a good package (comparable to those average salary one gets after doing MBA from non IIMs etc etc).So would a MBA make any difference in my salary expectations.
About the fees involved with the education I had talked abt this to my company ,who because of my experience(So does it make sense that I invest so much on my own ? would it be a good ROI considering that I might in the 1 year I spend for MBA earn much more and probabaly be in a better position in life..
Also sinse I spent my initial years in core developement I don't have that experence of working onsite or working with NGOs or extracurriculars(ya worked in a cave :drinking:).And as I see from the forums these sort of experience gives a plus point for selection for MBA.now how can I compensate for that.
regards,
RDG
PS:After reading what I have written I seem to be a pretty messed up ,so if you are reading this line than Thank You for reading all the above.waiting for your feedbacks.

plz suggst me how shud i proceed frm here...

Dude relax. You're doing well. Theres lots of time left for the CAT. N trust me, you wont need a separate 2 months for revision. Pesonally I dont think mugging words helps. You'd rather spend time reading stuff n doing RCs. Also do practice DI n LR a bit. People often neglect this section. You'l be in good shape come the time to start with mocks.
Just chill out right now. You dont need to overstudy for an exam like the CAT. Its an aptitude test n treat it like one. Keep practising a bit every day n you'l be good. Good Luck. Cheers

Hi Puys,

I am working in IT sector with exp of about 4.5 years. Interested in getting some management education. I can think of Correspondence/part time/ Fulltime (1 Yr) MBA courses , though I am slightly less inclined towards the Fulltime course.
Please suggest :
1) Will this help if I want to change my line of work.
2) Which course will be better.

Thanks in advance !!!

You have not taken any exam, you want MBA-Finance and you want good placement too!!! :lookround: wow!! :w00t:

How do you think that without taking any entrance exam that you'll get an admission this year, and that too in Delhi/NCR region? You can probably PM the answer if possible. Lets not take it up in public, coz I think the answer is expected and discussion on that front cannot be taken up in PG.

I guess you can look at XLRI GMP (through XAT/GMAT), ISB (through GMAT), GLIM (through CAT/GMAT and their own entrance test) all of which are 1 year courses and very reputed ones. Otherwise then the option left is Executive MBA (part time) from IIMs and other top notch colleges.

I guess you can very well change your line of work after the MBA, though it will be slightly difficult compared to a full time 2 year course, where you get to go for summer internship and understand where to go better.

Well I wouldnt say it is a -ve effect. It depends on how you can convince or justify your decision to go for MBA after so much work exp. Simply saying I'm fed up with my job is not going to help. You'll need to have a concrete reason on why you want to do MBA. Like growth in career ladder in the same sector, or a change of sector/profile etc. I mean to say think on "Why MBA".

If you're ready to take up GMAT, then you can also look at the 1 year course from XLRI, ISB or GLIM. Those are also good options. Again NPTI is also good I think, only thing being that it is specialized course (this is my personal opinion). You can better knowledge about the college and course in their thread. I'm not the right person to comment on that.

Also your plan to do E MBA is also good enough. But then again think of it like, you'll have to continue in this job, which I assume you're not happy with, or switch job to some other company in same sector, and at the same time study the MBA course. Will you be able to handle that? Think of it.
