The list is:-
1. Xaviers Institute of Communication
2. Indian Institute of Mass Communication, JNU
3. Symbiosis Institute of Mass Communication, Pune
4. AJ Kidwai Mass Comm Research Centre, Jamia New Delhi
These are all good colleges. I have not put the names as per the ranking. It is a random list.
nykshere SaysThanks for the reply. I have already made 3 attempts and it will be difficult for me to try again. Its either MBA now or no MBA i guess for me. And also for executive MBA , may be i will have to wait again for 3-4 years , isnt it? Considering all this , isnt TAPMI a decent option?
then TAPMI is not a bad choice . . . it is among the top 30 frm what i knw . also u cud cnsult with past and present students of TAPMI for valuable inputs . . . take a wise decision . best of luck !!:cheerio:

I plan to take up Marketing as my specialization in my MBA. I will complete my BE MECH. this year.
Should I go for a job in Technical Sales after my Graduation as I think this would be an added advantage for my MBA (marketing). i will go for my MBA after two yrs of my service.
So could anyone please help me out on whether my thought process is right..in taking up "technical sales "?:lookround::helpsmilie
Yes your thought process is right.A job in Technical Sales will ensure that you are in touch with engineering field...as well as it may groom you for an MBA in future.:cheerio:

You haven't said much about the two jobs so its difficult to say but some of the things one should find out and think about:
1. Compare the job profiles - Is the profile a niche profile or a general profile. What kind of skills will you develop at the job.
2. Career prospects - Within the company as well as outside. If the work is restricted in a very specific area it might not contribute as much to future prospects.
3. Compare the two companies - Brand value matters. It says you must be good or such a good company wouldn't take you.
4. Don't consider salary as a major factor up to 1lac atleast.
5. If the future goal is MBA then also consider no. of opportunities for employees to get recognition. It will be useful.
Plz contradict and add points if u can. I'm trying to decide between two jobs too

i am planning to pursue B.A. in englishis it worth it with an engineering and if not any other course from distance mode ?
I just finished my B.A. Eng (H) from DU and will join the Master's program. I'm not sure I get your question. You want to do a B.A. in English alongside your engineering degree?
English Hons. is a lot about classroom interaction and peer group, something you won't have in distance education. Plus, a B.A. by itself won't be of that great value to you since its a 3 year degree. But if you get an M.A. from a top DU college, the career prospects are quite bright.
yes i do think to pursue eng hons along with engineering degree is it not worth it?
mohit_1598 Saysyes i do think to pursue eng hons along with engineering degree is it not worth it?
since its distance education, I would say that it won't really add a lot to your resume. If its a regular classroom course then its something else altogether (but for that you will have to quit engineering).
Hello all,
I took CAT 2010 (NC-OBC)
NIRMA- waitlist 151
imt hyd-converted but not joining.
IEMR(energy management)- got the call..i am a bit skeptical abt it as its first batch will come out next year .But the big plus is its summer placement which attracted PSU's like HPCL,BPCL,IGL .
My academic details are below.
10th-76%
12th-59%
(W.B board)
B.tech-74% ( Anna university,chennai)
I have work ex of around 3 years.( 3yrs will be completed in june) in IT,telecom.currently working with Aircel.
i have given cat last 2yrs (2009-prometric screwed me
) so not able to decide whether to give cat 2011 or join NIRMA if i get(but conversion chances are less) And with the trend of IIM's giving more weight on 10,12 ,my chances of getting IIM's are very thin i suppose.
PLZ guide me what to do??Thanx in advance

Please provide details of your brother's qualification including the name of the institute he has graduated from. Also, it will be better if you could tell his expectations from the job / career 5 years down the line.

Hmm it seems I am supposed to post my request here, so let's try...
Hello,
Well I did not know where to post my request so here I am...
I am not Indian, but I am currently doing an internship in Poona and preparing my dissertation (thesis) at the same time which is about Indian management (guess tha's why I found this forum) and the integration of foreign managers.
I have to do interviews:
- foreign managers working in India and with Indian
- teacher of cultural management, Indian management
- eventually Indian managers working with foreigners.
I thought maybe I could get some suggestions about the teachers, like some names that will allow me to look for the right person, hopefully Google will be my friend at this time. ^^
If you have any suggestions, advises...feel free to share.
Thank you

I'm not a senior, but I guess with 3 years work ex if you want to get into a normal MBA program, its about time you do now.
Or elso you can give it one last shot in 2011, n if things dont work out, look for an executive MBA after 6 odd years of work ex. so wait for the convert n speak to seniors n take a decision
NIRMA is a good college
