there are rumours(on Orkut) that TCS has raised the pay for freshers joining this year by 1K per month.Can someone confirm this?

ya heard dat too...actually me in 3rd year now,got thru 2 tcs during this campus placements..but my seniors joinin this time around told me abt this.
nd by the way,is it much of a surprise considerin the results that tcs has announcd 2day?this i guess,was a bit expected...

hello fellow puys!! i am placed in TCS and will be joining it this year.not sure about the joining date but should be some time in july.one thing i wanted to ask is that TCS has started some prefoundation classes on software engineering in some colleges so what's the significance of these classes and do they also have tests after the classes?

also how will be intimated about the joining date after we complete the engineering and are not in our college.is it thru mail or some thing else.plz clarify..

Me joinin TCS this year...As of now all i knw is my ILP would be in Coimbatore but still have no confirmation from TCS regarding the same.....If Anyone has recvd communication of any sorts from TCS ppl, do inform...

Also wanted to know how do these TCS ppl place trainees in diff centres?????????:

A bit worried about the training program. Is it tough and in what subjects?
How to manage in trivandrum?

College almost came 2 an end..
it has been n yr dat d placements were made by TCS at campus.. par havnt rcvd ne info regarding d joining date or ILP center...??:
has ne1 rcvd ne info regarding joining dates...

Puys dont panic.....
this has always been the case wid TCS....after recruiting they take a deep breath n then realize that they have to issue the joinin letters....

I rcvd only 2 days bfore i left 4 trivandrum...

Neway these are the workarounds....

In case u dont get th letter..(hope u donot land up in such a hole....), u can take the hard copy of the joining letter they mail u....that mail wud b around 10 days in advance...

and b prepared bcos they ask u to bring alot of things...

original birth certificate (the 10th markcard wont do...)
gurantee for the bond amount.....if ur father has a PAN card..its simple ..otherwise some papers of property....

if u guys hav any problems wid th joinin dates ..u can call them n ask to prepone/postpone etc...that is not an issue...

so puys join th bandwagon n NJOI to th fullest ....

hai this is my first posting.i got 2years exprience and attended tcs interview on 8th may 2006.i got thru MR round. They told that they wil inform me within 15 days but til now i didnt recieve any cal or mail from them.can anybody help me.plz.thanx bye

The medical test is a general medical test dat include X-ray, ENT, Ht, Wt, blood test , ultrasound n varios other tests..
They rejct ppl only for Color Blindness..
so there is not much 2 wrry abt..:)

hav u been selected thru campus..
i got selected thru campus in may '05 n v rcvd d offer lttrs in Dec '05.
In arnd Feb d medical test was conducted n only dose students who had sum prob were informed abt dat.. n dey had their med test again though none was rejected..
n v r still waiting for the joining dates..
