any one joining the 22nd december batch in hyderabad???
n also can anyone tell me whether the salary is increased after the 44days training period
how bout the test they have during this time?? are they tough n really determine the increase in my salary????

Hi when you got selected Man, If I am not wrong than you also selected in september or october month(I might be wrong).

I assumed that bcoz you have written mumbai as location and they conduct off-campus there during that time.

well guys i am joining on 28th dec. at Tri.I am from IT.I have some quwstions if any senior gyanee would answer that
1)Is the Software Engineering Entry test tough ?
2)what kind of work do we get to do after the training?
I have a friend in a big MNC and he says that he find his job quite frustrating,he is in the testing department.I want to know that do we get to do the quality work or is it gonna be some clerkikal job?

Can we carry a laptop to the ILP center? Or at least the hostel?:shock: I have recently been selected in TCS and given 27th February at Trivandrum.

I'll get an on campus training at my college itself before the final training at TCS..... dunno whether it happens every year or from this year onwards,but TCS has done this in several colleges.....our college teachers will provide the training,which is more important for non CSE ppl.......the training will be on basic concepts of software engg......n they have said that there will b a test on the basis of that training n those of us who pass that test will b given 5000 bucks......

ok so v do have the test....cud any1 who has already joined the training plz tell us wut the test wil be based on or do they give non cse grads 5000 for relocation???? also any1 experienced plz tell tht whether the sal is hiked after the 44 days training or a year????

non-cse ppl, atleast till the last year didnt have a s/e test on joining ILP. got it confirmed with a frnd of mine who had his ILP this January.

incase u have such an exam, it'll be clearly mentioned in the mail from TCS(the mail regarding joining date etc).

btw, my ILP starts on the 27th of February at Trivandrum .anybody with the same date please PM me.

my frnd got a stone in his gall bladder. then is he considered for job or not????
shud he go for laser treatment to hide it from tcs medical panel or not?

ok , my batch started on 22nd dec n this is wut happened so far...
22nd dec(thursday) : induction ( in an auditorium we were explained wut the ILP is about n wut we r going to learn n each one was asked to introduce ourselves)
23(friday) : 2nd day of induction , we were asked to submit our service agreements along with the attested photocopies of required documents)

24,25,26 :holiday for christmas

27(tuesday) : classes commence

so far classes .......still 43 days more to go , we have assignments n tests

mid term tests are between jan 16th-jan 20th , all tests are open book ( only printed material n not ur class notes)
projects were given to us yesterday which we have to submit at the end of the training period.
final tests will be at the end of the training.


ps:all saturdays r working days

i mean what about java and others?

And when we have to fill choice of centres where we would like to get posting?

hello, i am in the final year of engineering and i was recruited by TCS in this years campus placement. i needed some information as to when the training will begin and i will actually start workin.. the thing is that i took my CAT this year and i did not fare very well.. so i wanted to plan out my preparation for this years CAT (2006). anyone with the info, please reply..
