hey guys
i read a article in the hindu in an interview with S.Ramadorai CEO of TCS
he said that employees will get an 11% hike in pay
will this imply to freshers like us also???

Maybe he meant over a period of 11 years!

hey people
1. yes chennai center has been scraped...
2. the only when the training is hell is when it is outsourced to cms...see the thing is earlier chennai and triv centers were managed by tcs itself and hyderabad and coimbatoor ws handled by cms...so life there ws hell.. people used to get trained till 4 in the morning.
so its not a rule taht ur life gets screwed up in centres other than triv,....it depends on whoz handling the trainng.
3. ..and if the training is handled by tcs..then it is a paid holiday...i did my traning in chennai and had a time of my life.
..........and most important..there is absolutely no distinction between a comp science and non comp science student in any phase in tcs...and thats a word from a non comp science student like me

I am from NIT Calicut. I am M.Tech ECE Candidate. I have been placed in TCS during Campus Recruitment Programme. TCS offered 2.1 lakhs for B.Techs and 2.46 lakhs for M.Techs.
I need to know is there any Pay Package increment, as i heard from my friends that the pay package has been increased to 2.95 lakhs for M.Techs and 2.5 laksh for B.Techs. Is it true.
One more thing which is the best training institution out of Trivendrum, coimbatore and Hydrabad. AS i am Electronics student please give me hints what all to prepare before joining TCS.

Please tell me preferable dates of joining in 2006.

i am a mech engg guy joining tcs at 17 nov in hyderabad..
can anyone throw light on abt their exams during training n whether we need a laptop or pc there so tht we can work independently during free time. also is training from mon to sat leaving us 2 days spare???

hey guys ,
TCS people will b cmin to my college next week to talk to all of those who have been selected.may be offer letters will also b arriving.....they have send the names of two books(ONE IS BY ROGER S PRESSMAN(TMH),OTHER ONE'S BY IAN SOMMERVILLE).THEy'll b providing one of these books themselves but they've asked option....so any experienced tcs person who has been thru training plz let me know which one's better......i don't remember the titles...

Hi.

Any TCS veterans or other ppl who have undergone TCS medical test please reply. I know that TCS checks for colour blindness. What I would like to know is whether they also gives stress on the power of eye like their is some upper eye power limit etc. I am asking this because I have a high eye power and it is also peculiar: -4.5 for left eye and 0 (yes, you've read that right) for right eye. The peculiarity is due to an accident I suffered when I was a child.

M the Constantine was selected in TCS off-campus recruitment test from Nirma too...
No joining date mentioned as of yet.No venue...

hey All,

Looking forward to some Gyaan from the PG Junta.

I am currently working in NOKIA India as an RF Engineer.Just 4 months working till now. No bond. Cool atmosphere n working environment.Cool job.But lesser pay than TCS is offering to me rite now.Location is at Ahmedabad.

My doubt is weather to join TCS or to remain at NOKIA.Pay is not a big concern for me.Name is.I am not VERY interested in Software based job as I am an EC Engineer.But these TCS ppl are offering me "SYSTEM ENGINEER", so this confused me...

Is it some Networking related job?

If It is...I wud love to be in TCS..Coz I cannot be away from my field.

But if it is not, then I cannot be in a field in which I do not belong at the very first place.

Giving CAT this year...n MBA my first preference.
All this talk is only if I don't clear for an MBA this year.

Please anyone help dude.........M really lost
