WELL thanks maverick for ur timely repartee....i wanted to know how is HYDERABAD and PUNE centre as far as projects are concerned...also pls throw light if u have knowledge abt other alternative centres of TCS that are wannabe.......:)
Also pls do tell me is it not in our vocation to choose centre or TCS only takes for that at trivandrum......and if that is the case then how they clasiify students according to their requirements........thanks once again ....

i m also Vineet..well thanx for the valuable info...i just wanna know that how much struggle is there for non computer guys. i mean training is the hard part but after that they will be treated at par with computer guys or is there any kind of discretion,even if they prove their potential...also,will u get any distinction if u r from a reputed institute like in terms of project allocation or in terms of salary packages???Also how r the centers alloted after training??

u don need to worry.. There wont be any kind of discretion as you think.. Training will be very cool.. they say ILP is a two month paid vacation..

Of course there will be difference in salary pacakages if some are from reputed institutes lik IIT's and NIT's.. But i,ve heard that there wont be any distinction in terms of project allocation...

or they force people to go anywhere.which are the centers that handle maximum onsite project.how is ilp going u are having fun

I am too joining TCS in 2006.. They have not confirmed the salary hike yet.. It seems we would be getting above 2.5 lks...
They say that there will be a final test after the training..The choice of centre depends upon our performance in that test..

I am working with TCS for last one year in Gurgaon and there is no descrimination in non CS guys.

I am from NIT but all other guys are also given preference.

I have to join TCS in 2006.. How about the choice of centres after training...?
Our seniors said that there will be test after the training.. And our performance in that test will decide the centre..?
Is it lik that..?

hello do u know which tcs center are good.i mean which tcs center handle maximum onsite project i know they give choice. what will be my 3 choice for tranning center.from which tcs center a person can go onsite very quickly.anyone have any info reply fast

m taking java n s/w engg books i had followed earlier. V can also take data structures n all.. tell me from which college u r.... wen r u reaching tri???

also tell me do anyone has any idea about the weather over there??? also wat all was needed for s/w egg test???

hi again ..thnx for the response. i am frm GCET,its in gujarat. and shall e reaching tvm on 29 sept by rajdhani...wher u frm and when reaching??..wel the weather wont be cold.. rather humid as its near the sea so wont need warm clothes as such..but yupp it'l be raining so better have an umbrella...wel i did nt do sftware engg in coll as it ws an elective but it seems as if the info on tcs portal wil suffice..

hi, as far as the salary thingie is concerned , that depends in the offer that tcs made at your campus.
the medical tests are cool, the only thing they are bothered about is color blindness...and thats all.
yup there is a bond but you dnt have to pay anything if there is some one who will take your security...for example your dad etc.
every center has some good or bad projects, so its sheer luck taht you get into a good project or a so so one.but chennai and mumbai are surely the better ones amongst all.
and buddy you will not face any difficulty no matter which branch you belong to....so cheers and enjoy!!

But it all depends on the project u r workin in.. and also on the number of seniors in ur group who didn go onsite...

v ll be reaching on 28th by kerela express... m from punjab.... thanks for the info... if u get any other news keep updating... even i ll do the same...
