People joining TCS this year..

But not yet got it..

HI paaagals ... I am gonna join ILP on Tuesday (Sep 6th ) Will be off from this board for a while . When I get time I`ll post u with more detailed info of ILP. Will meet all TCSers soon and moderator If I get a chance to reach Chennai ...

Hi Ashik,
I got my offer letter today. You will definitely get it by the next week.:thumbsup: (in case you have not got it yet). The letters have arrived but the processing is taking sum time.Dont worry and relax and btw I was told the ilp might start in another month or so (definitely gotta check up cuz going by wat r pg guys say I kinda think it may take more than 3 months !)...so dont you worry and ya they are yahoogrps(ref pm).

I have my joining in Kolkata on the 17th of Oct. The TCS ppl have sent a list of books to refer before coming to the ILP. Can anyone tell me to what extent should I study n what is the training like during the ILP.

Hey i've heard tcs has announced different packages in different colleges...any idea about what the actual package will be n will it be different for different colleges??

What's this nonsense ? And yes TCS has diff pay packages for diff colleges. Guess most companies do.

hey,
I am Doing my final year CSE at PSG Tech coimbatore.I've also been selected in TCS this june and i'll be joining it in 2006. Here they said they'll offer us 2.14 Lks.. I am sure that It'll vary for different colleges.

i m also Vineet..well thanx for the valuable info...i just wanna know that how much struggle is there for non computer guys. i mean training is the hard part but after that they will be treated at par with computer guys or is there any kind of discretion,even if they prove their potential...also,will u get any distinction if u r from a reputed institute like in terms of project allocation or in terms of salary packages???Also how r the centers alloted after training??

Hello, PGites, TCSians and Seniors...

This is regarding my quandry over choice of centre once the ILP programe is finished .....i already joined ILP at trivandrum ...i got hostel n atmosphere is just electrifying......My earlier batch had been sent to TCS Ahmedabad,but came to know that centre is good for nothing and people are sitting on bench .....:wow: .
N my just immediate batch has been sent to MUMBAI n CHENNAI which my fellow traning mates r telling good for ONSITE OPPURTUNITIES.....IS IT A FACT OR JUST A MYTH ..pls throw some light upon....this point....
Well Jk do u have any idea abt Centre preference n Good project Vis a vis Onsite oppurtunities.........GODMOD pls show me the light on this issue..i would b very much greatful for valid suggestion ..............thanks .

The whole batch maybe sent to some particular Center based on the requirements there. I am not sure why ppl are sent to Ahd and then made to sit on the bench. Anyway Chennai and Mumbai have the best projects in TCS, and mind you, its not that.. "Come to Chennai and we'll send you On-site". Have fun at ILP. 😁
