I dont know if i got the question right but is it none? first 100 numbers has 25 primes hence he wld get 75 numbers till then...we need to count 25 numbers more...101,103,107,109 are prime...means 80 numbers till 110111 (multiple of 3), 112 (2k form), 114,115,116,117,118,119,120,121,122,123,124,125,126,128,129,130,132,133 hence 133 is the 100th number....

@DeAdLy
@Logrhythm to all

consider the set S={2,3,4,.....2n+1} ,where n is a positive integer larger than 2007 .Define X as the average of odd integers in S and Y as the average of the even integers in S.. What is the value of X-Y ???

1
(1/2)n
2008

is it 1???

1

Even if the question says that n is greater than 2007 , it does not mean that you have to check it for n greater than 2007. you can take any n
for eg s = (2,3) x-y =1
s= (2,3,4,5) x-y =1
the face in consideration should be that the last number of the set S should be an odd number...

for every number n, there would be a (n+1) present in the set...hence the avg wld be 1 for any n....

take smaller cases
if 2 and 3 then x = 3 and y = 2
x - y =1 =>
if 2 3 4 5
x = 3 y = 4
x-y = 1
if 2 3 4 5 6 7
x = 4 y= 5 x-y =1
if 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
x = 5 y = 6 so x-y = 1
so answer has to be 1 :D
