@vbhvgupta said:The efiiciency of a man is reduced by half every 2 hrs. At max efficiency he could have completed the job in 150 hrs. How many hrs does it take him to complete the job, if his efficiency becomes max after every 8hrs and then reduced as mentioned above?
Let total work be 150 units..and he does 1 unit every hour..
0-2 hrs = 2 units
2-4 hrs = 1 unit
4-6 hrs = 1/2 unit
6-8 hrs = 1/4 unit
total = 2+1+1/2+1/4 = 15/4 units is completed...
150/(15/4) = 40 such cycles..
hence total time = 8*40 = 320 hrs..

A vessel contains a litres of wine and another vessel contains b litres of water. c litres are taken out of each vessel and transferred to the other if c x (a+b)=ab. If A and B are the respective values of the amount of wine remaining in the two containers after this operation, what can be said about the relationship between A and B?
1) A=B
2) (A-c)/(B-c) >2
3) A-B=4c
4) None of these
Plz give answer alongwith explanation.

the digits he has are 0,1,4,6,8,9 (i.e 6 digits) so the counting would be in a base of six
in this base of 6,
first digit is 0,
second digit =1,
third digit=4,
fourth digit = 6,
fifth digit=8 and
sixth digit =9
value of 100 when converted in base of 6 = 244
so replacing the third digit and 5th digit from the above list we get 488.

Let c = 1
and a=b=2
c(a+b) = ab
1(2+2) = 2*2 (satisfied)
=> A=B=1
so option 1??

c=ab/a+b
A=a-c=a^2/a+b
B=b-c=b^2/a+b
Checked options
1) not satisfied
2) not satisfied
3) not satisfies
4) Hence none

I dont know if i got the question right but is it none?
first 100 numbers has 25 primes hence he wld get 75 numbers till then...
we need to count 25 numbers more...
101,103,107,109 are prime...means 80 numbers till 110
111 (multiple of 3), 112 (2k form), 114,115,116,117,118,119,120,121,122,123,124,125,126,128,129,130,132,133
hence 133 is the 100th number....
