I didn't understand the ques initially. One lap = 100 m. And answer is infact 17.
Solve by making a displacement time graph. The pattern repeats itself after the slower one covers 4 laps and faster one covers 3 laps. My answer comes out to be 17 (7+7+3)
hmm... coz they are running in opposite directions,, ok..
so they meet for 23rd tym after 10/7 + 22*20/7 = 450/7
after this much time, the one running from B would have travelled 450/7*5 = 2250/7 = 320 + 10/7 m... he would be 330 -( 320 +10/7) away from A = 10 - 10/7 = 60/7 m from A...

right bro. but your previous answer was the correct answer. it's 0m from A
i have rechecked.... i did it by distance method... they 1st meet after 50/7 away from B...then 10/7m away from Bso 1st meeting person running from B travelled 50/7m.. and 100/7m after that for 2nd meeting and 100/7 for all subsequent meetings..so for 2nd meeting = 50/7 + 100/7for 3rd = 50/7 + 100*2/7for 23rd 50/7 + 100*22/7 = 2250/7m travelled by 2nd person... so i do not think ans should be zero.. i can be wrong
@ScareCrow28 bhai just did it. he got 0m.. you can check it out.
K is a 3 digit number such that the ratio of the number to the sum of its digits is least?what is the diff between the hundreds ans the tens digits of K?
Hi puys, please help solving the below:-K is a 3 digit number such that the ratio of the number to the sum of its digits is least?what is the diff between the hundreds ans the tens digits of K?
Page and Plant are running on a track AB of length 10 metres. They start running simultaneously from the ends A and B respectively. The moment they reach either of the ends, they turn around and continue running. Page and Plant run with constant speeds of 2m/s and 5m/s respectively. How far from A (in metres) are they, when they meet for the 23rd time?
the 1st time, they meet after 10/(5-2) = 10/3s ... 2nd after 20/3s so 23rd at 10/3 + 22*20/3 = 450/3 = 150safter 150 s, plant would have travelled 150*5 = 750mafter 10m he is at A, after 30 m he is at A so they would meet at A itself for the 23rd time
To meet for the 1st time, they together will travel 10 m to meet for the 2nd time and so on they have to travel 20 m
So total distance traveled to meet for d 23rd time is 10+20*22 = 450 now together they both travelled 450 so 450/7 = 120+60/7 that means 60/7 is answer

0 metres When Plant travels 50m then Page travels 20m each time they meet on the way. When plant has covered 50m they would have met for the 5th time. Similarly when plant covers 100mtrs...page covers 40mtrs. hence after covering 100mtrs they have met for 9 times. Hence after 200mtrs...they hav met for 18 times Therefore their 23rd meeting = (18+5) will be at A
this is what he wrote...
total track = 10m...
they meet 1st time after plant covers 50/7m, 2nd after plant covers 150/7, 5th after 50/7 + 400/7 = 450/7.. he meets 4th time after 50/7 + 300/7 = 50m and not 5th time....
To meet for the 1st time, they together will travel 10 mto meet for the 2nd time and so on they have to travel 20 mSo total distance traveled to meet for d 23rd time is 10+20*22 = 450 now together they both travelled 450 so 450/7 = 120+60/7 that means 60/7 is answerplz clarify y u used 3 sec
see my posts after that, i have rectified them, thanks

@Logrhythm help me out bro..Page and Plant are running on a track AB of length 10 metres. They start running simultaneously from the ends A and B respectively. Is it 0m??
See for every 50m that Plant travels Page travels 20m...so they would at the 5th meeting meet at A...Now when Plant has completed 10 laps, he would be at his base location...and page and plant would have met 9 times by then...
another 10 laps does the same thing....and they wld have met 18 times...
total meetings = 9+9 = 18...we need 5 more meetings...
