WILL GO WITH POWER OF 4. CUD HV MADE MISTAKE IN CALC. TOO LAZY TO PIC UP PEN N PAPER

4 + 4^2 + 4^3 + ... 4^n >= 87300=> 4/3*(4^n - 1) >= 87300 = > n = 8 approx Ans = 10*n = 80 minutes ?
it will be better if u take a pen and paper and solve it

So, is this thinking wrong ?

First 4 people -> 10 minutes
Next 16 people (Each of those 4 tell to 4 each simultaneously) -> 10 minutes again

Can they tell the gossip simultaneously ?
@amresh_maverick AM>=GM
2^sinx+2^cosx/2>=sqrt(2^sinx*2^cosx)
2^sinx+2^cosx>=2sqrt(2^sinx+cosx).......(i)
min value of sinx+cosx=-rt2 at x=5pi/4
put the value of sinx+cosx =-rt2 in (i)...u will get the ans..

arey bahi mera bhi sahi tha...solve nhi kiya sahi se...minimum will be at 5pi/4....
when u differentiate it u get pi/4, which will give u maximum value....since it is periodic so minimum will be at (pi+pi/4)=5pi/4..put it and solve u get c

circular rounds to reach the top of the building, then what will be total distance (in nearer

Coefficient of x^10 in (1-x^5)^4 * (1-x)^-31012-12-10
1/(1-x) = (1 + x + x^2 + ......)
1/(1-x)^2 = ( 1 + 2x + 3x^2 +....)
1/(1-x)^3 = ( 1 + 3x + 6x^2 + ...(n*(n+1)/2) x^(n-1) + .....) = g(x)

f(x) = (1 - x^5)^4 * g(x)
f(x) = ( 1 - 4C3(1)(x^5) + 4C2(1)(x^10)+ higher terms) * g(x)

Coefficient of x^10 = x^10 in g(x) - 4C3(1)*(x^5 in g(x)) + 4C2(1)*(1 in g(x))
= 66 - 4*21 + 6 = -12 ?

PS: Was just trying something random :P

If g(x) is the least integer function greater than or equal to x, find the value of

g(_/10) + g(_/11) ............. +g(_/100)

Is it 48 ?

Open up the pipe and form a rectangle, so with each round:
Height = 5m
Length = 2pi*r = 11m
=> One circle = root(146)

Ans = 4*root(146) = 48.33

g(_/10) to g(_/16) = 4 => 7 values
g(_/17) to g(_/25) = 5 => 9 values
g(_/26) to g(_/36) = 6 => 11 values

So, in general, Tn for Sum = (n+3)*(2n+5)

Sum = 28 + 45 + 66 + 91 + 120 + 153 + 190 = 693 ?

10 to 16 -- 7 terms with each being 4
17 to 25 -- 9 terms with each being 9
