X + Y = 10,000(X - a)/ (Y - a) = 6=> X - a = 6Y - 6a=> 5a = 6Y - X=> 5a = 7Y - 10000=> a = 7Y/5 - 2000So, X can be 6000 and Y = 4000.a = 3600.
nhi samaj mai aaya bhai.....
if u take Y 4000 thn X becomes 6000!!!
hw mch amount will u deduct nw to make it in a ration of 6:1???

Doesn't it mean that they had 33-5 = 28 marks in actual?
But then 5 grace marks have been given so I guess we will take 33 for Average!
Grace Marks come written in Marksheet right ? :splat::splat:

Hans and Bhaskar have salaries that jointly amount to Rs 10,000 per month. They spend the same amount monthly and then if it is found that ratio of their savings is 6:1. Which of the following can be Han's salary???a) 6000b) 5000c) 4000d) 3000
6000 ?

h + b = 10000

h - y = 6x
b - y = 1x
b - (h - 6x) = 1x
h - b = 5x
h + h -5x = 10000
2h = 10000 + 5x
h = 5000 + 5x/2

h can be 6000...b = 4000...

X = 6000
Y = 4000
Amount deducted as per equation will be -
A = 7Y/5 - 2000 = 5600 - 2000 = Rs. 3600.

So, Savings for X = 6000 - 3600 = 2400.
Savings for Y = 4000 - 3600 = 400.
Ratio of 2400 : 400 = 6 : 1.

Yes 60 is thre in the option!!!
But my question is y nt -10%!!!
P = 100 = 75
E = 100 = 120
100X100 = 10000
100X120 = 9000
Therefore, 1000/10000x100 = 10%!!!
