P" = 3P/4Expen New = 1.2 EP *Q = E.3P/4 * Q" = 1.2 EDividing both -3Q"" / 4Q = 5/6So, Q" = 10/9 of Q.So, Increase % = 100/9 = 11.11 %
Wrong hai!!!

In a class, 25% of the students were absent for an exam. 30% failed by 20 marks and 10% just passed because of grace marks of 5. Find the average score of the class in the remaining students school an average of 60 marks and the past marks are 33 (counting the final scores of the candidates)???
Let 100 be in the class.
30% = 30 scored 20 marks less than 33 = 13.
10% passed because of grace marks of 5 => 10 students had 33.
Rest 35 had avg = 60.

Overall Average = [25*0 + 30*13 + 10*33 + 35*60]/100 = 2820/100 = 28.2 :roll:

Doesn't it mean that they had 33-5 = 28 marks in actual?

Kaise maila bhai...i gt -10%???
N evn this value is given in the options!!!
P = 100 = 75
E = 100 = 120
100X100 = 10000
100X120 = 9000
Therefore, 1000/10000x100 = 10%!!!

X + Y = 10,000

(X - a)/ (Y - a) = 6
=> X - a = 6Y - 6a
=> 5a = 6Y - X
=> 5a = 7Y - 10000
=> a = 7Y/5 - 2000
@jashholmes said:
a) 6000b) 5000c) 4000d) 3000
So, X can be 6000 and Y = 4000.
a = 3600.
