How I feel about online onboardings and sessions
No trees are ready to shed their leaves, but it has to endure autumn!!! the Trees do “adapt”
The night before the induction while ironing my shirt, there were stream of thoughts whirling around my mind. The thought of how I would probably be sleeping early in my hostel bed that night scared of getting late for the first class of B-school!
The probability remains uncertain, but here we are celebrating the open mic and letting the air for togetherness rush in.
Tuning into the MS team session without the banter and fun of classroom, without its desk and projectors are the name plates for the class of 20-22. The breaking of ice sessions and WebEx meeting have temporarily replaced in house adda, but the screens are now our virtual friends. The hand icon in MS Teams may fetch the CPs but still fail for the aura of person to person discussion.
Yes, we the class of 20-22 wanted the 2am hostel room chats, wanted the group calls in the cafeterias, wanted the desks and projectors of class, but here we are smiling at the notification popping by apo, “for the next class sign in to M.S Teams”.
Because, When the winter comes, can spring be far behind?

Hi, I heard that IMT has been issuing calls lately but I haven't got any. I completed everything including my profile detail form. My XAT score is 90.38 percentile. Any paticular reason why?

The first instinct about virtual onboarding was that of excitement,
it was almost as if the dark clouds had scattered and the sun was now to come shine over us...
Well, it was an almost refreshing feeling to have found that– in the otherwise bleak times of the world.
Especially with the several icebreaking seshions through means of virtual meet-ups , and getting acquainted to people's voices parallel to picturing them on their social media handles, it was one novelty I didn't fathom accustoming to. Incredibly so,befriending who were once distant strangers ,that too lacking personal touch was all too new, however, might have gotten a little lucky there.
From picking up pace after the MOP's, to sitting for Interviews for screenings, whether it was clubs or committees, there was no moment where there was extra space to make room for anything outside of college as soon as it began full-swing, it was like a complete circle in itself. From the middle of the night teams calls to midnight meetings,...
If you know how IMT rolls,you'd end up making a life of your own here!

How I feel about online onboardings and sessions
With a new fold in life and plenty of new changes around us, I landed up in IMT Hyderabad for my Masters. With brewing excitement and expectations for a new phase in life, it all took a 360 degree turn when the pandemic hit and restricted us to the four walls of our houses, but IMT kept us on our toes, whether be it the induction, introductory classes, clubs, and committees or any other activity done.
From classes all day to teams call with your friends at night, IMT surely does give you a bitter-sweet package that I will definitely look forward to having on campus. As our very famous tagline "IMT never sleeps," is quite literal, with a challenging curriculum and a new string of friends made, you start enjoying the grind, and life outside IMT starts looking dull and bleak. With one year coming to an end and another left, I cannot wait to fill up on more memories and experiences before the final takeoff.

Journey as an IMTian
The journey started all the way from my first start-up venture to IMT Hyderabad and now currently to my third venture, Government of India recognized mobile fuelling service – Fuelkart. Before coming to IMT Hyderabad, I had two ventures of my own, but I wanted to acquire the in-depth knowledge of how businesses work and hence I came to IMT Hyderabad leaving my earlier ventures.
After graduating from IMT Hyderabad, I got the idea for my third venture when I realised how tough it is for remote locations to have easy access to fuel. Our biggest challenge was to get the license to proceed and after a year we finally got it. Since then, there was no looking back and now we are a Government of India recognized mobile fuelling service.
I believe an MBA for any entrepreneur plays a crucial role in shaping his career, and the role played by IMT Hyderabad in boosting my entrepreneurial skills was unmatched. For instance, initially it was difficult for me to talk in front of 50 people, but with time I learnt to do it well, it gave me confidence.
The group assignments helped me work and perform in a team. The diversity at IMT Hyderabad helped me to adapt accordingly, and now I know how to deal with clients and get business from them, just because the diverse atmosphere at IMT enabled me to interact with different people.

IMT Hyderabad heartily congratulates Ms. Bheti Navya Reddy of batch 2019-2021 for securing the third position in “The Briefcase” competition at E-Summit 2021, the annual flagship event of Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Hyderabad. The contestants were assigned a fixed amount of virtual money and a list of companies with a brief description. The contestants had to invest with proper ‘pragmatic’ thinking and a reasonable explanation of the same.
