Pls Help me in this regard...
I belong to OBC NC , My father is a govt employee and salary is less than 4,20,000.He is much likely to get promoted to the next level in a year, So his salary may exceed the limit of 4,50,000 (Not certainly ,think so).
My Questions :
1. Since it is valid for one year , Can I take the OBC NC certificate in ' JULY OR JUNE ' so that I can make use of it till my admission process of IIMs (Provided I am cracking CAT)
2. Will IIMs ask us to submit the recent OBC NC certificate in admissions n so on??

PS: Pls don not get pissed off bcz i am talking as if i have cracked the CAT,,But I am an optimistic,thats y i believe I would crack it this year itself

Hi Guys,

I have not given CAT till date and this time I am thinking of giving it a shot. I have been out of touch with all the basic concepts as I have been working for the last 15 months. So to aid my learning I have thought to join CL, Bangalore for some 180 hrs duration course as they said. I have 2 questions:

1) Is this much time adequate for preparation to get a good percentile?

2) And if I join weekend classes now will it be a wise decision? or they are just for those people who have previously prepared for the exams?

The CL people told they would start from the basics.

I appeared fr CAT/XAT last year.Didnt convert the calls that I wanted to.Anyway should I appear fr CAT 2013? I wil start workin from July so how much will my work ex count? Or is it better to wait for an year and appear fr CAT-2014?

Can someone suggest any good site/link(except for time and cl) from where I can give sectional tests/topic wise tests of quant, Di and Verbal?

Also please suggest a good book/site for practicing quant and di (except arun sharma) which covers all types of questions and also the questions are good and not repetitive.

I working for a software MNC for the past 2.4 yrs. I gave cat way back in the year 2009 and got low percentile. Now I am interested shifting my profile towards business and hence I have started my preparation for cat. This is going to be my last attempt because by next year I would be having 3.5 years of experience. I have analyzed myself and have found out I am very weak in Quant and moderate in English. I am planning to quit my job by this month for preparation. Please suggest whether it is a good Idea to leave the job. What problems I would face in interview for leaving my job and is there any way to tackle it.Kindly advice.

Friends and Seniors , I am in a total dilemma . I am presently working in a construction firm with a work Ex of Close to 4 years . My main objective of doing MBA is Career growth and Jump in CTC . My performance this year in CAT was not upto the mark . I have heard from somewhere that placements for people with such kind of profile is not so good even in good colleges . So i am confused as what to do next . whether to appear for CAT again or continue with my job and may be go for an EMBA ....... Please suggest ...😠😠

hi Puys,Planning to write CAT 13’.Wrote 11’ scored 85 %ile. Absolutly bad,fall into lust of joining the job.Working for last 9 months.Truly Idiotic exp in an “MNC”,My profile is:

10th-81%
12th-67%(Was Bed Ridden during Exams)(Justification during PI)
Engg-71%

PLZ suggest with this profile would I be able to get something Decent?

Guys, I have one query, in case I join the TIME AIMCATs test series. Would I also be allowed access to the sectional tests or only the 20 AIMCATS??
