AIMCATs are better. You can have TF as a secondary option.
hey people , m new to this forum well i am currently pursuing B.COM . I just wanted some information about cat coaching institutes in patna. well there r 3 institutes over here that is CL, TIME , and IMS. So please could anyone tell which one is the best. actually i am a beginner so i need to brush up my basics nd my quant is very weak bcoz i have nt been in touch with maths since a pretty long time . So guys please tell me about the best institute as soon as possible nd yeah 1 thing more i need to join coaching which for 6 - 8 months .
and its a request please give me some useful information .

I'm about to embark upon preparing for CAT/XAT this year, I`m based in Hyderabad and I just wanted to know as to what's the best institute (including TIME) for preparing for CAT/XAT.
Taking into consideration the fact that i work, I can spare ONLY WEEKENDS for attending classes and can squeeze out 3 hours a day at max for the preparation; DO YOU THINK THIS WILL BE SUFFICIENT?
NOTE: I didn't do well in my graduation and lets say, my graduation percentage is more or less... hopeless... however I will have >3 years of experience (in a non managerial role) by the time I start attending interviews.... DO YOU THINK work experience will add value to my profile in the process of selection??? I have 76% in X and 85% in XII.I am aiming for XLRI Jamshedpur and JBIMS primarily. (I am given to understand that IIMs are out of question given my academic record).
The reason why I am posting this here is because I want a frank suggestion and the "counselors" at TIME just make everything sound very EASY (as if IIM-A will bend over to have me as their pupil).
Your suggestions and recommendations will be most welcome.

So CAT 2012 dates have been announced, please enlighten me.. Appl in july and can we select the test dates? Are tests normalised or is it better to take earlier.
Also, will I even be CONSIDERED with this profile?

hello everyone,
I am pursuing engineering in ECE and currently in my 2nd year. I want to prepare for CAT.
How should I start my preparations , I am a bit confused? Please guide.
I am excellent in Maths and English is also good.
My score in 10th and 12th is 91% and currently in college my score is 90%.
Taking all these in consideration what are my chances and how should I start?
Also I want to know if I am eligible to give CAT next year or not as I will be in 4th year during CAT exams.
