Hey shrirock7, What is ur %tile & sectional? In my IMT Interview, I was asked @ other calls and I told them @ B & SP. And they grilled me deadly on to joining SP & not IMT.
Here at NITIE, After Thanking me at the end, when I was about to leave the room. One ma'am asked me.. :whatthat:"What all other calls I have" to save myself from the same grilling, I said "I have one from IMT."... ;-)Didn't mention B, SP, MDI.
Seniors and PUYs, DO NITIE TRACK DATA OF CALLS OF ALL THE CANDIDATES??? or shrirock7's case was just a guess from his %tile score? Pls let me know.

As I was not having the CAT scorecard with me before the last date for submission of scorecards to NITIE, I took a printout from the CATIIM website and sent the same.
If You have done the same, then they must be knowing that you have a B call. (Also it will depend on the fact that the B calls were sent to some individuals after some days of declaration of CAT results, so if your name was not in the initial list rolled out, then its good for you, need not worry)

Though the institute may not track your calls individually (it would be a huge exercise), I believe the onus is students to remain honest. With a percentile that can fetch you a NITIE call, MDI and to a certain extent SP too are (very) probable candidates.
And just for the record, in 2 of the interviews that I have been asked this question, I have gone on to make it to the final list (or at least close).
I personally think, your calls from other institutes should in no way influence your final selection. Due to the innumerable number of options available today for a student, this question has somehow become a norm of late.

I kept mentioning each call as you all did till my IMT was done.. When NITIE asked me the same, out of the blue what came out of my mind is "I have on from IMT":nervous:.
Nways.. Still B and MDI are left... will be better prepared about comparing these insti with one anothers.
I don't really know guys - I have a friend who had 99.73 and 4 calls last year,and he was rejected at NITIE - but he did have a bad interview...
I mean, one can't rate shri's interview right? 😃 but in my opinion, it doesn't hurt to mention one's calls - and also, it makes sense to logically justify your choosing that particular institute - don't go saying stuff like "I'll pick IMT over an IIM" - I know some folks who did this.
If you would join something else, say so 😃 - they want logical people, not illogical goofs
As far as shri's 6 calls go, he must have done either a major goofup in the GD, or impressed them so much they decided an interview was a moot point. or, he looks so good the profs decided yto make him the next NITIE mascot ;-)

Q 2 me: "Which 1 will u join? IMT or SPJain?" my Ans: "Ma'am, If it comes to a happy situation that I can select the one between these two, I MAY join SPJain."
(As usual) Q 2 me: "Why?" my Ans: "Both are excellent institutes. The selection procedure of SPJain is such that it brings studs from more diverse background... then some stuff @ peer learning... so I may join SPJain. However, both are excellent institutes and I look forward to be a part of IMT."
"THE END" of the interview: "Parth. We feel that you are not fit for this program. In IMT you'll get more freshers as peers. We suggest you to join SPJain or apply for 1 yr executive MBA prog from IMT. We suggest you not to waste two full yrs. Thank you. All the best."
The end left me thinking and so was the promt reply in NITIE:p.
Seems some really good discussion is going on...!! Well, even I was in the same kind of situation last year with calls from some of the Top 10 B-Schools (at least 5-6 of them )... And yeah, even I was asked the same question... which one I would be joining if I get confirmed from all of these... I gave a very frank answer mentioning all the calls I had and my own logic to join the ones I prefer. Of course later on I got through some of them.
Finally, NITIE was at the top of my priority and hence came to this beautiful serene campus... 😃

Great koolbuddy.... thanks for IMPACT team efforts.... i lost the hopes of result coming out before holi as it was mentioned in one the posts that NITIE office will be closed on 20th and 21st on account of holi....

Interview: 4 panelists. I started introducing myself and said reading books is my hobby but I started dedicating the same time to reading business newspapers for the last couple of months to improve my knowledge of recent happenings in the market.
Then one of the panelists said that I could well improve that from books itself instead of news papers.
Me: in which will I get knowledge of ongoing crisis in USA? Panelists: well thank you. You can leave !!!!!!
I was polite but that panelist had lot of ego......man....their ego sucked me....
Also why Nitie panelists didn't to in-shirt? they were looking unprofessional that way....
Also that stage manager girl once said 'You will be intimidated about this in a while' instead of saying 'intimate'

i think nitie has total of 2 waitlist.. that too depends on movement of first waitlist...
