I know its realll late posting my experience considering the results are already out. But still better late than never!
Ok here we go..
Had on day 1, 11th March.. Had reached the previous evening and were provided comfortable acco.. seventh floor though and lifts were found wanting more than once!:D Else a beautiful campus!
D day.. after all the audi gyaan and verifications.. Had our GD around 10 30.. was group 4 (lucky me!) We were 10 in the group and 6 panelists.. pretty evenly matched!! Topic was "Should India's defence budget be increased?"
God! Just what i didnt want.. took a risk with budget and god wasn kind enough! Anyways it was pretty chaotic.. one on ones.. filled with numbers!! and got done with 2 ordinary points.. Came out feeling i have a nice struggle on from here!
Was told that interview will take about an hour and half since i was the 9th guy in my group.. So was off to audi.. briefing about my xperience so far.. n hardly 15 min.. had a senior calling out my name.. surprised to say the least!! He said mine was next and off i was...

Being a fresher, Mech (NIT Trichy), was expecting a tech grilling..
Again 6 profs in the panel!!
P: A brief introduction about your background..
M: Basic gyaan and then.. talked abt my school experiences (abt 10 schools!) and hence adaptability n so on..
P: So Girish, what other calls have you got?
M: MDI sir..
P: So when is it?
M: Tomorrow sir..
P: Will you cancel your flight ticket if we gave you the seat right now?
M: Definitely (with a smile).. and then added things do not usually come that easy in life...
P: What interests you other than academics?
M: My favourite talk..Cricket.. more on reading books.. biographies and stats related reads..
P: Oh i see.. so what all books have you read?
M: Goin on with Sachin, Ganguly, Flintoff..
P (interuppts): What about Bodyline?
M: No sir, have not read that..

P: Any other books u read?
M: Yes sir.. biographies of leaders and people who have made it big..
P: So what have u learnt from them?
M: Quoted recent read on K Biyani's autobiography.. and being an inspriration, and so on..(they seemed convinced)
P: So what are your biggest strengths, u think u have to make a good leader?
M: Answered honestly with egs (President of Dept n so on) and were again nodding their head..
P: Ok..so what are the different branches of Mathematics?
M: answered..
P: What is the diff b/w maths and statistics?
M (wow) gyaan..
P: So this statistics and the one you said with respect to cricket are the same?
M: No sir.. that is more of plain numbers.. and tried giving an eg abt remembering sachin's hundreds.. was cut short..
P: Ok.. so you are a fresher.. Mechanical.. What do you think abt Nano?
M: (Had started reading Autocar and Overdrive recently and it came to rescue!!) gave some general idea..
P: That is very general Girish.. Talk more like a mechanial engineer..
M: Went more specific to rear engine placement and all.. (seemed convinced)
P: So you think Nano is a boon or bane?
M: Definite boon mam.. listing out positives..
P: But do you think Indian roads can take it.. all this pollution and road congestion...?
M: Said all issues will have two sides.. but here positives are more.. safety related aspects.. talked about euro norms promised by Nano..
P: Ok fine.. Now talk to us about the other Nano.. the technology..
M: Just gave very vague idea about it.. Didnt know much except what the name suggested!
P: Ok fine.. (looked at the watch) and said so anything you would like to ask?
M: Asked about specialisations.. when is it decided.. how..?
P: Answered
M: Ok sirs/madam.. Thankyou..

Hmm.. it was a pretty decent intv.. 10-12 minutes I heard from outside.. which is the average time.. Half the intv was about Nano and cricket.. which worked well for me.. Got done with whole process by 12 and entertained a few interested ppl outside with these thoughts b4 squeezin time for a nice little doze for 5 hours... b4 signin off from mumbai...Overall a nice experience.. and yes seniors are great.. very helpful.. Impact Team rocks!!
And yeah now that i post this.. the results are obviously out.. and Yes i made it!!! :D:D:D

GD was pretty decent although did tend to be a bit chaotic at times.Most of the ppl got decent airtime.Lots of decent points discussed.Yours truly entered around 4 times.Made around 3 decent points.Overall an average performance.

Overall an avg. types PI.
Came out with mixed feelings not knowing what to expect.
