friends i am at 72... so cant go for refund.
If any of you know IMT seniors, then plz ask them about the same case if happened last year in which person has asked for refund 4 days before start of the session. i will appreciate your efforts.

Very difficult for me to decide.
NITIE: 9 (3rd List)
MDI: Got thru PGPM in 3rd waitlist
For guys coming from out of station..
if you guys are coming by train:
Central: Most trains have halt @ dadar.. Get down at dadar..go to platform number 1. Catch a slow local for suburbs (thane, kalyan, dombivali, karjat, kasara, ambernath). As it is in the opposite direction the trains are expected to be not so crowded... get down at kanjur marg..Move to west side(RHS in trains direction)..catch an Auto..
it will take maximum of half hour to reach nitie..Expect the fare to be in range of 50 ( look at the metre multiply it by 10 and subtract 1 from the final thats your fare 
) e.g. 1 10 means 11 -1 = 10)
Western railway: Again most trains halt at dadar, some trains halt at andheri too.... just check..if you can get down at andheri its the best option.or else get down at dadar and follow the same route.... but when you get down @ dadar please crossover to central side(east of the western side). If you get down at andheri take an auto..Maximum fare from there should be 60-70.
These were economy options, if you can spend some 200 bucks then take a taxi from wherever you get down ask him to take you to vihar lake and when at vihar lake ask anyone for NITIE. People in mumbai are helpful, you won't face any problems.
For guys coming @ Airport: you guys have 3 options Auto, Taxis, prepaid taxis....I am not sure about the fares of prepaid taxis but for auto the fare will be in the range of 60-70..for taxi approx 120...
Its rainy season in mumbai if you can go for taxis unless you want to get wet in an auto....

As for me i am Wl @ 4 in OBC list. And when i called up NITIE today the guy on phone asked me if i got any mail. When i said no he said there are 98% cahcnes that you'll convert. I got the mail today. Hope i make it to NITIE...

All you can ask from seniors is why NITIE or MDI...
answer to the question Why NITIE is available in koolbuddy's signature....
Ask some one from MDI, why MDi...compare it for your self and take and educated decision.

Hello disturbed_soul..u seem really disturbed with two superb colleges..
Not only for u it is also very difficult for us puys to decide which is the better one to join..! Both are very good colleges and also have great brand value to reckon with..! If u really in a dilemma talk to some seniors of both the colleges and decide... It really comes down to a personal choice when you are choosing between two great colleges..! 
Perhaps PG's B-school rankings will come in handy..!

I called up NITIE today and asked them about admission confirmation. The Gentleman on the other side responded by saying that "your seat is confirmed". You will recieve a mail today.
Then I casually told him that there are speculations that NITIE was planning to take out a fourth waiting list as well. He said " MAY BE" and then said "WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM" . I just said thank you and hung up.
I am reaching Mumbai on 18th evening. So see you all there.

u r in dude ..............u can call up admissions and confirm ...........as for the medical certificate ...........u gotta wait for the offer letter as it has to be completed in a format provided by nitie .............apart from thsi there are some annextures with the offer letter which we had to send with the draft but none of us have done tht coz we sent the draft before the offer letter reaching us ..............the offer letters mentions that u would get admission if seats are left vacant from previous lists .............but i guess they have started givin confirmations on the phone itself ............if yr draft has reached them .................so chill dude .................will meet soon

I have got admission to MDI PGPM. I was about to join the course which begin on 16th June and then I got letter from NITIE. My waiting is 9 in third waitlist. I have already deposited Rs. 268000 to MDI and now I can withdraw till 13th June only.
I called NITIE and asked about my chances and a lady told me NOT TO WORRY JUST SENT THE DD.
I am in a dilemma: Shall I withdraw from MDI before getting confirmation at NITIE? I have also resigned from my job and if I withdraw from MDI and somehow not able to make to NITIE I will have to look for new job.
If I send DD to NITIE and also do not withdraw from MDI, then if I make to NITIE and decide to come I will lose entire Rs. 268000 deposited at MDI.
Please suggest some way out.
Can anyone guide me shall I join MDI or NITIE in these circumstances? I am really confused soul right now.
I hope by now ur queries regarding admit confirmation in NITIE must have been in resolved. Comparisons of colleges is not allowed on PG.. but still to help you out... just use the search here .. many things have been discussed before on this thread and on MDI admission thread this yr . One of the aspirant has even done a point-to-point analysis

Sorry to disrupt the conversation......
I have a small doubt...infact big doubt.....
I need some authentic advice(from any of the seniors).
If at all it is impossible to get rid of the notice period even though i am willing pay back my notice period salary, is it possible to show the joining letter, official work-ex letter till Mar08, salary slips of all the months and resignation mail as proof my work-ex at the time of placements. I think we can get the relieving letter some time later by paying the amount.
Someone please help me out...........
You must give some proof of your work-ex during admission (offer letter , salary proofs etc,,, or the same docs u presented during GD/PI). Your admission wud be conditional and you wud be required to sign an undertaking tht you will submit ur relieving letter on a later mentioned date(u can giv tht date to them)

you wud get accommodation on 18th.. most of the students arrive a day earlier..
