Hi all
I am reaching nitie on 18th by train from bangalore
can anyone tell me which will be the best station in mumbai to alight
according to time table it stops at kalyan, dadar and CST
guys ..........
if u all go through the mail from nitie admissions carefully...........its clearly mentioned that u r selected and we have to make the payment by 16th ..............there are no ifs nd buts involved which is the case in the provisional offer letter which we have got from nitie through snail mail..................nitie is very judicious with the kind of languge used as for the offer letter its clearly mentioned that we will get admission only if the seats are left vacant ..................but this mail say something else altogether .................i guess its time for all of us to rejoice coz the entire waitlist has cleared ...............
even the title of the mail says
pgdim admission offer
guys stop worrying and get ready to dance to the mumbai salsa .....................
Hi
you are right when you say that the mail catagorically states the
You have been selected for the course
I think we should be cautiosly optimistic
knowing that emails dont really mean anything according to Indian laws
but again the language in mail is a definite departure from the careful language used in provisional offer letter
hi anshul.
I would advise you to alight at dadar. take a local train to kanjurmarg railway station. From kanjurmarg the NITIE campus is about 15 mins by auto. The auto should not charge you more than Rs. 30/-
get down at dadar ,
get the slow local train for kanjurmarg ,come to west side of the station and catch the auto for nitie from station.
nimmage kannada baruthhe?

Anshul and KatKraze,
My advice is that dont prefer MUmbai locals because you will be having lots of luggage and it will be difficult to find space in locals even for yourself.
18 and 19th are weekdays and i expect the local trains to be very crowded.
Powai is near to Dadar than CST. A taxi from Dadar will take around Rs. 150/-.
NOTE: - If you are not having luggage then locals are the best option.
Guys me reaching on 19th morning ............around 8.30 ............how do i get to nitie from santa cruz airport .............taxi or auto ..............????????
how much for prepaid stuff..............plz reply
just called the nitie office,
the news is
the mail which everybody received is not the confirmation of the seat but only the intimation to candidates.
good news is admissions are thinking of going for 4th waitlist.
Thats really a great news.
When i had gone there to submit the fees i have seen a merit list in that persons hand. There were more names in that list before and after the 3rd waitlist candidates.
I tried to see the names of the persons who are there after DHANANJAY NAIK (waitlisted 79 in 3rd waitlist) but not able to see that.

mobariz,
I talked to my friend who works in Powai, he said Santacruz is very near to powai.
If you take auto then it will cost around Rs. 60/-.

Hi dhanajay thanks for info
m from UP in karnataka for past 6 years
so you joining NITIE as well
Hi All,
A question from my side. Is it mandatory to reach NITIE on 19th? or is it required for the annexures to reach by 19th and it is ok if we check in on 21st or 22nd since the college start on 23rd?
I think seniors could be able to answer this query better.
Regards,
Onkar

Nitin,
For withdrawing from IMT, juz send a copy of offer letter you got from IMT and a signed application to the admission office address or you can also FAX it.
The process is very simple.
nitin,
If you withdraw tomorrow then do ask them about withdrawing on 17th.
I am still thinking of 17th.
I will try to call IMT tommorow and ask them about it (Anticipating negative reply)
