I have also send DD through Speed post on thursday...but it hasnot reached NITIE office.
I have enquired local Post office and Speed Post center, they told me that it has reached NITIE post office.
I enquired the NITIE post office it seems they are busy right now..
so u can call them at 022-28575907 after 2pm today...

i had gone to NITIE today to deposit the DD, in person.
that lovely campus
once again (I also went there on Saturday but came to know that the admissions office is closed on Saturdays and Sundays).
Office personnel are very cooperative. At 9:20 AM they were just started to come in..
One staff member asked me about whether i have come for PGDIE or PGDIM.
I replied PGDIM.
Then he directed me to the appropriate staff members desk, but he was not there (He came after some time)
So I took a seat.
A madam(Staff Member) was there. She asked me 'Are you waitlisted?'
I said 'Yes at 72'
Madam said: Dont worry, you will get through.
Then finally that person arrives, and asked me my DD.Asked me to fill some annexure in which i have to write my DD No. and my address.
In his file he was having 6 more DD's and there respective annexures were also attached with them (he might have filled all).
At the end,
I asked when admission will get confirmed, he said gave a phone call on 17th.
I asked if DD will be refunded then will you send it on the address i have filled in annexure?
he said yes.
But that madam again said 'Dont worry, you will get admission, but cant say this with 100% surity'.
I said: ThankYou:grin:
then that PGDIM admission person also said that 'Tickets tayar rakho'.
So finger crossed... till 17th.

Just some suggestions:
Its raining heavily in Mumbai. Umbrella is a must thing here. Mumbai rain is unpredictable, for 5 minutes it is devastation and for next its a bright sunny day.
Campus comprises lots of trees and lakes, a perfect place for mosquitoes and insects to dwell in. So mosquito net or Allout is also must.
One query -
I have taken admission in IMT Ghaziabad, Its reporting date is 22nd June.
NITIE will confirm admission on 17th.
If i cancel my IMT G seat on 17th or 18th then will there be deduction of Rs. 1000/- only (according to AICTE) or they will deduct more then that because as far as i know their last list is going to come on 14th of this month.
if some senior can comment, plz (If last year also same type of case happened) .
Or if some friend can help

but dont think they are bound to follow AICTE rule after their last list ( 14th june ):death:bcoz there is a clause , they have to refund only in case if they can fill the void seat by another waitlister ( i know their are lot to fill that seat but the question is ll they com up with another waitlist after that ), i have called them ( some time back ) they simply said till the date of next waitlist they ll refund as per AICTE rule .but after that no one knows ....................................................
if u get any info regarding this PLZ do udate it on this thread or at IMT thread

its still not reached NITIE ( i hav just checked with NITIE admision cell )
according to Post office it take max 48 hr to deliver :death:( therfore it should get delieved by 12pm today ) ,hope it ll reach NITIE soon

i hav a bike , no body other thn me use it at home
in two year u can well imagine what its condition ll be
many colleges have recommended not to bring BIKES to campus , but thats just discouraging the parctice of keeping bikes . not disallowing them
it ll be g8 help if any puys plz post the exact words from the offer letter regarding this thing
more over i think our seniors have bikes too , they must be planning out something too 😉

Is it true that the classes are gonna commence from 23rd? If that is so, it will be nearly impossible for me to attend as I haven't submitted my resignation yet & the notice perioed can vary from 1 to 2 months (Unfortunately, I have only a lone call from NITIE).
I have called up the admissions cell today and enquired about my chances of getting confirmed. I was told to wait till 16th. Can someone pls suggest what can be done now? Will NITIE accept if we join a few weeks late?

Yes dude, I've called just half an hour ago... I was asked to wait till 16th. I told them that I have to give notice in my company. I only got a reply that they cannot do anything in this regard and that I'll have to wait.

actually i am in same boat
after too many meeting with my PM i am able to prepon the date a bit
which is now 30th july
so keeping buffer time ( i am frm delhi )
i ll able to report on 4th july at max
i tried to talk to NITIE official regarding this
though they just said " phele DD bhejo "
but on again again asking one of the officer said that not much problem just after ur confirmation FAX us an application sayin that i ll able to join to 4th july , stating the required reasons
though didnt seems much convincing
but dude we ll manage ;-)
do update here if get any update from NITIE regarding this

i guess joining late can be sorted out with admissions ...............but if they have given an unofficial confirmation to you u can take that as granted coz as suggested by one of the seniors in thsi thread itself ............that what they say is 9 out of 10 times correct..........even i am in the same boat as u r in but i have already resigned from my org ...........this is a gamble which i had to take ..............given last 2 yrs waitlist movements this waitlist should clear until and unless calamity strikes ...............
so take yr call ..............

And, I believe NITIE would consider our situation... For me, it's gonna be very tough to even make it by 30th july! Let's wait n see how things go...
