The waitlist will be activated from 18th of April and will be active for arround a month. It will be cleared in the merit order...

How many finance profs do we have at NITIE and how are they compared to those at the IIMs? Thr are arnd 47 full time faculty but not many for finance, I guess. Please clarify.Also I cudn't find the final placement 2008 report on the website..isn't it official yet...when can we except the revised placement figures?
I have a call from NITIE and FMS(MS)...in a dilemma rite now...in your opinion which 1 should I chose and why, considering I want to specialize in finance only bcoz thats what interests me most.
FMS(MS) seems to have better placement figures with an avg of arnd 13 whereas NITIE has an avg of 11.84. Any specific reason for this? Would you please give me the list of finance companies that visit the campus for final placement and the profiles and packages offered? I am asking this bcoz I couldnt find any specific info for the finance domain?

It won't be prudent on my part to compare NITIE and FMS(MS) here as this is a public forum and comparisons are not allowed. You can definitely call any one of us, or respective seniors and get the opinion... However make sure your final decision is based upon sound logic rather than sentiments...
As for placement figures, even I am waiting for them to be officially out in the media... Nevertheless, let me assure you that its going to better both the figures quoted by you above... :)
I assumed as all the other institutes waitlisted candidates are getting the letters. Asked here to confirm whether the same is applicable to Nitie.
I don't think waitlist candidates are getting any letter from NITIE. once the waitlist started clearing candidates must be getting their offer letters then.
I think we have 7 electives to choose over the 2 year period.But there are only 5 electives available in Finance and only 6 in marketing to choose from.Is there any update on increase in number of electives?? also the number of core courses in SCM/operations are more than the core courses in the other 3 streams(finance,marketing,IT/Systems) put together...doesnt that make too concentrated towards SCM/operations @ NITIE or is it similiar in other B-Schools too??

Brother, Can you please let us know 1. Whether the call letter has the entire fee break-up. 2. Does it mention other expenses apart from the tuition and hostel? I mean something like the daily expenses per month are 1000 bucks or something to that effect??

Can anyone (those who recd. the letters) pl. confirm what all we need to send now alongwith the demand draft. I am yet to recieve the letter, so if u could throw some light on this, I would be better prepared.
