Hey dont prepare for something lik SSC, you wasting time. . Actually no time to chuck it. Keep ot with you. People can easily judge bn IDBI and Govt Job. Lets hope tht disinvestment doesnt take place. If somethng lik tht happens IDBI is going to be the first one to njoy the provision.

I think it's a clerical job ryt?...if you want to prepare for upsc and all..then may go fr accountant....otherwise for growth, respect and better pay(ignoring that black money crap)...then .PO..!

Choose yourself. You are the better one to arrive at. Bt my suggestion is to be anAccountant if you need to grow and relax or else to be a PO if you need to do some sacrifices, hectic jobs to serve some tensions, to roam all over the country(transfers every 4 yrs) and less pay.

Canara bank has 25K bond for 2 years till last recruitment.:-)

But I am not aware about the kind of powers SSC jobs will provide to an individual..if you have any idea,then can you please elaborate me on this front?

Though Its a South based Bank but its quite good bank and has very large number of branches all across india.
One of my friend joined there last year after quitting his job in TCS and he is very happy and enjoying the job to the fullest:-)
Even after working there for almost over 1 year,he has never been posted to south:-)
So Go ahead,Join the bank And enjoy the life

IOB is one of the large banks in India and every PSB carries the same stature, nothing bad or good wen compared to others except in the case of SBI. Joining or not depends on your priority criteria.

Jus not SSC, any other Govt Job is lot better than bank Jobs in terms of power, stature, salary etc. Banks managers are now a days seen as Mere service providers, some times the IT professionals call a BM as MrX, bt not sir for which we starve at. Thts nt the case in Govt jobs, its entirely diff.

No that wont be the case practically in India. You cant call even a Sub-Inspector by his name and we hesitate. I think u got the point.
