My Life as a Bank Officer

Hi All, i am new to this forum... I have been allotted Andhra Bank in IBPS PO II... Is there anyone with AB?

Can anybody please shed some light on Leave Policies and medical benefits like Health Insurance coverage or expenses reimbursement in probation?... Do we have paternal leave benefit with PSU banks?

How abt working in AB, working environment, peers co-operation, transfer locations, monetary benefits and other privileges... Friends working in AB please share your experience...

Is maternity expenses are covered in health coverage or is it reimbursable?

Can some one say if we can expect our first placement in our circle? How abt the growth prospect? Thanks for your valuable suggestions and sharings..

Hello admin..

Need some suggestions from senior bankers.Actually i m selected in IOB as PO joining may be in April.i want to do MBA after 3-4 yrs. just wanna know abou the exposure banks give to PO's.Is der any banks which finance MBA for managers.
@rahul169vicky

yes u shud target LIC AAO and other exams other than banks as lic aao is far better job in terms of salary,postings,work pressure and risk in job..........

These days..there are numerous vacancies in banking sector but with time public sector banking has changed completely......and in bnaking job there is very high risk with very high work pressure....and like me...most of my friends and batchmates realised this and started to move out.....i m not writing this to discourage anyone but it is reality.....

@Munish5780

First answer ...bank give a wide exposure to its PO as PO is directly recruited officer and he/she has to do all jobs in the branch as u r accountable person and u have to give answers to ur senior officers...sometimes clerical staff and messengers are generally absent during audit time and closing time then u have to do their work too.....because u r officer.....u will get to know later on....

second answer--some banks finance mba for their officers but officers have to sign bond to serve bank for specific period after getting mba degree if they left bank then they have to pay all money with interest to banks...but u have to find out whether IOB has such policy or not...

Hmm..yes you are correct that 2 year exp guy can switch but only if he have worked on some popular and new tech.Also,in recession companies usually fire the one's who are highly paid (obviouly with more exp) becuase in IT, anyone can be trained to do any task in just few months because the work is not that much typical.And yes, i agree with you that PO will be getting what a senior professional of 4-5 years are getting now(atleast if we talk about service based companies) And I can bet that if bank will start working 5 days a week,that will be the most sought after jobs after UPSC and SSCAnd if they will take care of transfer policies as well,then it might overcome the charm of SSC because of faster promotions in banks
This could never happen. SSC doesnt have any competition bit banks have and they have to strive hard to sustain for ever. This makes the job hectic and restless. So they can never overcome the Govt jobs in terms of Charm, power and even money.
