This is really funny. I dunno whether to celebrate or to go quietly mad.
For the record, I have been offered admit for class of 06, but i have to get a GMAT score of 680...before March 10th!!
Am i going to be the only guy aiming for 700 with a prep of something like five days..or since i am working (20 hours give or take a few).
My profile: for those interested
BE polymer/5.5 yrs WE/99.2%ile in CAT.
cheers.
Congrats PG, Simba and everyone who made it to ISB.
Class of 2006 at ISB is sure ALL SET TO ROCK...
Keep us posted though. Many like me want to rock the 2007 class
Hey all! I just became a member of this site. Congratulations to all those who got into ISB. I chanced upon this site a day before my ISB interview and needless to say the number of interviews posted here went a long way to soothe my nerves. I have been waitlisted for ISB and wanted to know if anyone has any idea as to what are the chances of getting the final call. How many are waitlisted?
Gmat: 660
PS: Hope this message reaches the right forum!
guys..tell me frankly. I have been admitted to the class of 2006 in ISB. HOwever, I still cant get over the fact that the course costs a god-forsaken 14.5 lakhs...!! do the salaries at the end of the year actually to repay this kind of a loan in one lifetime.
If you look at it ISB always shares its average salary..never the median. So it could easily be that the 20-30 odd people with 7+ work ex get jobs as functional heads with 15+ salaries and skew the average towards their side. sorry for being so pessimistic..but somehow this does bother me.
does anyone know an ex-ISBite who can share his personal experiences?

1 yr work ex
GMAT 680
CAT 96.5 percentile

EnJoY !!

Well, your worst fears could be true. never trust a book by its cover.
I would suggest - join isbpgp yahoogroups. wealth of info there.
Plus, yes, the higher (or say average, average+) salaries are skewed towards ppl with higher work ex. With just 1 year WE, you might not be in the most favourable position during placements. IIMs/Other good B Schools of the country may make more sense for you at the moment.
& again, i would reiterate .. if you think that cost justification is a make or break criteria, think hard.
