Congrats to everyone who has an ISB admit this year.

My take is that if you have invested the time, money and efforts apping, why not take it up. I certainly feel 1 year spent in a Bschool like ISB learning stuff which you otherwise cannot in realworld would certainly be more good than anything else.

The caveat ofcourse is that you guys ding ISB for the H/W/S/M of the world (added MIT 😉 )

For the record, I have been offered admit for class of 06, but i have to get a GMAT score of 680...before March 10th!!


Am i going to be the only guy aiming for 700 with a prep of something like five days..or since i am working (20 hours give or take a few).

It doesn't really sound fair and add the fact that you can take up the GMAT only once a month and you are left with only one shot at making it.

Good news is that you have cracked the CAT, so your QA abilities are goody. Get working on the Verbal aspect and you should be fine :)

hey! first of all nice job old heart:) for the admit that is and the cat score..
abt goin quitely mad, i wud rather u cool off a bit. old boy thou hast proven thou's quantabilities and they are not very easily lost, mind you. so as head pagal of the bunch of nut cases that we are, said, u just relax and brush ur verbs and adverbs and u sud be fine:)

Wasn't scoring 680 in GMAT a requirement if you applied with CAT score. You seem to be surprised by that requirement mentioned in your admit.
Anyway, you have a wonderful CAT score. You can score 680+.
A 93 percentile in quant is good enough to help you score very well in GMAT.
Give it your best shot.
