Interviewed in Hyderabad on 8th November

Duration: 15 minutes.

The panel had 2 members. They didn't introduce themselves but during the course of the interview I figured out one of them was an ex defence officer.

Started with a light chat about my hometown.

Questions about my career goal. Then how ISB MBA shall help. Questions on my post MBA career plan.

The next was about how President Abdul Kalam created his credentials to rise to the top despite not coming from an IIT, IIM or a NIT.

Are you hardworking? I explained with an example.

Why leave your present job since you seem to be performing well at work? Would you be ready to re join your organization post MBA? Questions on my career achievements.

During the interview, I happened to ask the ex defence officer if he used to serve for the navy because he was very familiar with marine terms. The panel had a hearty laugh saying I got it right.

I am a reapplicant. So there were questions on how my profile changed since last application.

Which all Bschools did you apply for last year? If not ISB this year what will you do? What all things did you get to know about ISB MBA from your research? How is the ISB MBA going to be different from other B Schools?

Last Question: Suppose you are going to be jailed for next 30 days and you can demand for one thing; what will it be?

Any questions? I replied that I didn't have any for them.

The panel was friendly and the interview proceeded like a chat. Try to give short and crisp answers. Throughout the interview, I felt like the panel was measuring how convincing I was about my ISB application and what all are the strengths I bring with me.

Didn't have a "tell me about yourself" question.

Hearty thanks to @Llewellyn75  Sir for guiding me through the application process and interviews. Had it been not for his guidance and insightful inputs, I wouldn't have been able to present my case with all its intricacies.

And the wait is on for the results!!

hey.. does anyone else have a link on the ISB login page which asks for additional documents? I submitted whatever was required in the initial form, and now have an interview invite. 

The email from the school however, did not say anything about this.

I had my interview on 7th @ hyd ..I was quite busy on business travel and could not get to post this sooner. But first I want to congratulate all those who got interview invites and wish good luck to those still waiting for them!

I benefited a lot from this forum and want to take this opportunity to thank you all for contributing to running this forum.

I am a re-applicant .. Indian IT male..GMAT 710

4.5+ years in Healthcare+Consulting+IT . I felt my interview went well. it started with my introduction and then went into my work. I was questioned a bit here. Then it went into why isb and why mba and why this goal ..the usual questions you expect.It may have taken 25mins..dont remember the time.

I think the most important thing is to spend time on what you are and where you want to go..once this is clear..after that it is just a matter of putting words to your thoughts.

I am kind of a newbie here. I am planning to apply for ISB for 2017 intake.. ,

The following is a gist of my profile:

M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Purdue University , USA

Cumulative GPA: 3.92/4.0

B.E. in Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering Guindy, India.

Cumulative GPA: 8.11/10.0.

3+ years of wrk exp: (1.5 years in India in a leading mechanical MNC + 1.5 years in the US in a research position in a leading MNC).

Good extracurricular activities, did research based thesis masters and working post masters in a similar research based position.

I am planning to ISB as a career change move and also to relocate to India.

Can anyone tell me what would be the GMAT score that I would require to meet the ISB admission admission criteria.?.
