ISB 2017 Aspirants

Hi, does anyone knows how many total credits does one has to complete to complete PGP from ISB. Also each subject is equal to how many credits? How many subjects are there per term and how many electives does one has to take in order to socialise in one industry/concentration. I tired searching for the same but couldn't get any specific answer.

Does anyone have info... till what time in the evening the interviews are going on at ISB Hyderabad location. My slot is @ 14:30 on 25-Nov.

Got call for interview on 29th Mumbai. Thanks to Anshu and others from ISBeacon for all the help during the application process.... 😃

Got an invite as well for Mumbai, 29th of November, 9:45 AM. Anyone else invited for the same slot?

Could anyone let me know if the interview calls for Kolkata location have started flowing in ?

Got a call for ISB but alas it was for healthcare administration....the new course isb has started..:(

I somehow feel people with GMAT score above 710 score are only getting calls..

Can someone tell me how ISB decides which candidate to admit? I know that there are 4-5 broad parameters based on which candidates are evaluated. But given that the intake is 800+, I am sure they must be interviewing 3000+ candidates all over India plus the Skype interviews. How do they keep track of the performance of various candidates? Do they follow a scoring formula of sorts where each candidate is assigned a score, and at the end of the interview process the top 800 or so get selected? Also how do the they assign which campuses the selected candidates will go to?

Did no one get Skype Interview calls in this proverbial "blast"?

May i accept the fact that Delhi calls are over now? I stated delhi as my interview preference.

@oranje.ya and others waiting for skype interview - a few skype calls given out today. All the Best!

3 of our candidates reported calls from Mumbai yesterday! Delhi candidates can still expect calls for other interviewing locations (non-Delhi). Kolkata interviews not yet released. All the best.!

Are calls over for bangalore??

There has been no chatter about bangalore calls for a long time

Is it true that the GMAT is weighed totally as a seperate component and it plays no part in the initial shortlist for interviews and during the interview as well? Need your expert opinion !!

Have the Mumbai calls for today started coming ?

Prime MBA interview tip: Never run down the worth of your current assignment in a bid to explain why you need an MBA. - Llewellyn DeSouza #MBAconsulting

Got done with my interview a while ago in Hyderabad (BLR was my preferred location), but just got down to putting my experience down now. Began 2.5 hours late on a hot Sunday afternoon.

I was asked to begin with something not on my resume, and the conversation went into what it took / takes to build successful teams. The interview then went into my essays, and a deep discussion on learning philosophies (something from my essay) and my learnings from my first job in Consulting. A couple of googlies where I was asked to strongly justify certain statements. A lot of time was spent discussing my current work, and that led to a standard barrage of why ISB PGP, what if you don't get an admit this year, etc. Just as we were about to wrap, I was asked what I thought I would bring to the table to ISB. The discussion ended with a question from me on how ISB supports candidates with entrepreneurial aspirations and the associated financial considerations. Took a good 45 - 50 minutes, which was surprisingly the trend with that particular panel on that day.

Couple of pointers to people yet to give their interviews - Know your essays and profile like the back of your palm. Practice your spiel, and don't let nerves get to you if you have a long wait.

Hat tip to @Llewellyn75 - With his help, we had managed to nearly script my entire interview to the word. Wasn't asked anything that we had not already prepared for.

I don't know if I'll convert the interview to an admit, but practice and guidance from someone who knows the system well certainly helps.
