I am going to start my pgp in april 2016.. What sort of pre mba preparation are needed to follow through the rigorous course work at ISB? Please advice
Hi Guys
I am currently studying in ISB. Class of 2016. I will be in Delhi for next couple of days during my term break. Let me know if anyone wants to meetup and talk about ISB Admissions and anything other extra terrestrial concerns you might have.
Drop me a message or email me at [email protected].
Hi guys,
My profile is as follows:
A qualified (Class 0f 2014)- (1st attempt)
CMA qualified (Class of 2014)
CFA (Level - II candidate June 2016)
10th - 91.2% (CBSE)
12th - 89% (CBSE, Commerce, Best of 5 subjects)
Age - 23
Currently working in Ernst & Young as a Risk consultant in the advisory division (Work ex - fresher 10 months YTD)
I aspire to do PGP-2017 from ISB, however my focus area is finance & not consulting. Also, I hold a B.Com degree from Andhra University but that is through distance education as I was busy doing CA articleship & CMA during that time. Also, my extra-curriculars are weak - have nothing much to flash. However, as a concious effort I've started doing the following now:
1. Spanish (Level - II candidate)
2. Salsa (Beginner level)
3. Planning to be MAD volunteer by 2016 beginning
Planning to appear for GMAT in March 2016.
Pl. let me know my chances for admission criteria & the gmat score I shall target for, as I would be having less than 2 years work-ex in round-I application process.
Hi Friends,
I got to know that ISB takes a minimum of 2 weeks to respond to a submitted application.
It says,5 weeks,on the application copy.Correct me if am wrong.
I wanted to know, how much time does it take post-interviews to receive an admit confirmation, if the candidate is eligible.
Due to unprecedented health reasons I am forced to postpone GMAT and cannot make into R1 and the organisation I work for has a long 3 months notice period.
Hence I am in a dilemma to plan R2 dates to submit an application.
Thanks in advance.
All the best to guys applying in R1, the last date is 15th October, so by now you must have a GMAT score in hand, spoken to your recommendation writers and briefed them, have your essay initial draft ready. Try to connect with as many alums as possible to get feedbacks....... Remember, historically its observed that its slightly easier to get in R1 than R2.
Will mentioning the mail id and details of evaluator for recommendation will suffice to the application completion or the recommender also needs to fill and complete the reco within deadline i.e 15th Oct . Any reply pls
do we need to send a test report separately to ISB although if we select ISB at the time of exam? also should we remember the school codes before appearing for the exam or we can just enter the school names at the screen?
While trying to answer the career goal essay, we mention about our post mba plans and how mba from ISB will help in getting there. Do we need to specifically write on why other options might not be as good as mba - because whenever i think about it, so many questions pop into my head, and thus the explanation might take a lot of my essay space 😃
Hi,below is my profile.pls evaluate
5+ years of experience in a PSU, AIRPORTS AUTHORITY OF INDIA as ASSISTANT MANAGER.
88% in 10th
85% in 12th
75% IN B Tech (ECE) from a private institution
GMAT yet to be attempted
Hi guys!
Its regarding Essay-1.
Is there any scope for incorporating your extracurricular activities and achievements in this essay, which are not connected to the 'one significant achievement', but definitely make you 'that one person to be selected'?
Do ISB seriously consider talents with 2 years work ex ? Do they even consider looking at their profiles. I asked this out of curiosity since the people who join iSB comprise an average exp of 3-4 years atleast.
How long does it take to get admit from isb after application is submitted?
