Please evaluate my profile.. have 13 years of overall IT experience, I am BE Electronics and Telecomm from Pune university (65%). GMAT score 730 (Q50, V39, AWA5, IR6) I am working on my essays but would like some pointers of waht I can highlight apart from workex achievements.

What are the chances of getting through ISB for Round 1 this year? or should I retake and improve my score and apply for Round 2?
Will the telecom profile add to diversity or not ?

Hi, I am 28 years old. My percentage in class X was 84 , in class XII was 76 and in engineering B.E. (B.I.T. MESRA)was 69.5. After engineering I prepared for a year and qualified GATE with AIR 25 ,joined NTPC LTD. and worked for 16 months. Then I cleared Indian Engineering Services with AIR 22 and am working for India Railways ,after resigning from NTPC LTD , for the past 33 months. I was the captain of my institute's cricket and volleyball team. I want to do executive mba from top b-school in India. I want to give gmat next year, till then I will continue at Indian railways adding another 8-10 months experience. What should be my gmat score (as per my bio data written above) ? Please advice me on how to start my preparation and from where I can get all the study materials. Thank you

Should one apply with a score below 700 in R1 or retake and apply with 700+ in R2?
Heard that the number of applications in R2 increase exponentically and it can be more of a challenge even with a better score

I had a query.I have done my dual degree program form IIT-BHU.My major was Industrial Management.I got 690 (Q48,V36,AWA5,IR6) in GMAT. My undergrad GPA is 7.36/10 & my Post Grad GPA is 8.3/10. I have 6+ years of experience in New Product Development ( 3 years LG & 3 years in Philips). I should apply in R1 round for ISB or should I wait for R2 and try to improve my score??

My name is Santosh. This would be my 3rd application to ISB. I applied for Class of 2014 & 2015 in Round 2 and Round 1 respectively. On both occassions, I was invited for an interview but did not get the final admit.
My acads are average - SSC: 81%; HSC 69.5%; BE Electrical : 55%.
My GMAT score is good: 730. I don't think my essays are a problem.
What can I do differently this time around to convert the interview call into an admit?
Which is better mbaguru or alchemist? Please a littlr help guys.

Wanted your views on my changes for MBA this year. Im giving GMAT next month and will be applying in the second cycle for colleges. My profile is as per below:
1) 10th standard: 95%
2) 12th standard: 89%
3) Did engineering bachelors plus Masters from BITS Pilani. GPA: 8+/10
4) Worked with some of the biggest investment firms in highly sought after roles. Have really good recommendation letters. Just coompleted two years at work till date.
5) have social work experiece by being associated with an NGO for 5 years. I am now also working in a voluntray role with another organization for the past 2 years.
6) have interened in top level govermental agencies as well.
Im applying for ISB this year(Batch 2017), what do you think my chances are for making that? What should i focus more on doing?
