congrats for getting into infy ..
Infy will send you two letters .. one is the offer letter which you will get within few months ... and second would be joining letter, which you would almost a month or 45 days before your date of joining ...
some companies have policy of giving offer letter on the spot / sending it within a month .... but, infy takes few months to send it .... i myself got it after almost 5 months .. i got selected in 6th sem but offer letter came in 7th sem.....so, dont worry about all these documentation part....infy is quite good at this 😃 it may come late but would definitely come...

hey..i am a mechanical engg and got recruited in infosys..i will be graduating out in may,2010..d question i have in mind is: i was told that the last year mechanical students were given their doj around the months of october and november,is dat true? Also, I was told that infosys first calls on the CSE and IT students for the training and then the rest of the branches..can anyone plz shed some light on this?
s its true dat Infy calls CS/IT stud first... but ur doj depends on which trainin batch Infy puts u in.. but anyways it ll be after d doj of CS/IT stud of ur coll for sure...

No, it is not true ..... all the batches i know so far from last 1.5 years have mix of CS/IT and non CS/IT students.... neither does it differentiate in any other respect among employees from these backgrounds.

there were quite a few changes from 2008 batch to 2009 batch
In 2008 batch (early batches may,june which i am in) there used to be short term batches(CSE/IT) and long term(all other batches)
the training period also varies accordingly,but as vision bhai said there would be no differentiation in projects allocated or compensation,but its only few days more of training for non CS back ground
In the later half of 2008 ,they have done away with short term training and had common long term along with extended training(recession time)
In 2009 ,they reintroduced the short term training ,which is not that short as compared to 2008(CS),as there were a lot of changes in training (content of modules and duration)
and also one more observation from 2009 batches is ,from the same college ,they have given joining dates at different times
people from my college came in November (CS )and also in feb(CS and Non CS),so i feel they might have categorised acc to college also internally acc to aggregates..

there are seperate batches for CS and non cs batches
suppose u join in may first week ,all the CS people in ur batch would be in
may Lc1-cs where as u would be in may lc1 -NCS
is the training period considered as work exp

i presume that u are 2010 passout(as u have not mentioned)
since u are just out college,i feel that it would be better if u get some practical exposure before u go for MBA.
i would not have given u the same suggestion if u had got into some IIM as a fresher
having got 97% as a fresher,i feel u got a lot of scope to improve and go for a better college
ultimately,its u who have to decide where u want to graduate from

Hello Anyone, who attend infosys interview recently.. I took interview in infosys last week ( both HR and Technichal), In HR round I asked for hyderabad location and 3 months notice period, HR told me to send my certificates.. I sent all my scanned copy of my certificates.. and said that will intimate you in 2 weeks.. does infosys accept 3 months of notice period, Anyone recently attended the infy interview and when they received offer letter?...

it depends on the level of commitment from ur side and also the project u are working in
i have my friends who cracked CAT this year working in projects every day
thn,it all depends on u
ofcourse,if u want growth in the company ,and at the same time want to prep for MBA,it might be bit difficult
but yes,a normal person can prepare
