Hi one and all.......
I am a bit confused with the Star certification name. It was like, from the batch of 150 members only 19 members were asked to attend a session called as working in teams and i am one among them. I am not at all getting on what basis they have made this selection and is this for the sake of good or bad.
It would be help ful if any one gives some gyan on this.

i have been with infosys since aug 07 , and still under one year contract
now i have an offer from MDI gurgaon and i am getting conflicting answers on what is likly to happen when i break the bond , some 2 months would be left if i leave in mid june
case 1 someone told me long time back they dont say anything if you are leaving for higher studies and peacefully u can exit
case 2 some guy joining mica recently told me it was peaceful for him , he said depends on ur ibu and hr person
case 3 a girl joining symbiosis told me she was asked to pay but she is not paying , forgot to ask how much she was asked to pay
case 4 a guy told me his friend last year just ran off and was served a notice of 1,20,000 approx , so he advised not to run away
case 5 a friends friend last year was allowed to exit peacefully , but still got a notice some 6 months later
from here and there , you will be served a notice after a few months but dont worry nothing further would happen if you dont pay
kindly tell me what to expect and how to go about the termination process

the point u have written in case 2 is 100 percent true. it all depends on how good ur HR person is, and how understanding are ur IBU heads.
Infy management always considers that the persons who quit the company for higher studies should be given ample encouragement. but i have seen a lot of situations where PM's and other project heads have delayed a persons release citing project excuses.
So ultimately, asking a lot more ppl is gonna get you a lot more cases like the ones u have mentioned above. i would say, go ahead and talk to your PM. tell him how much an MBA means to you.
all said and done, i think they wld release you without any problem.

P.S - if they ask u to pay less than a 100 grand, i think u can go ahead and pay that for the sake of MDI

Forward your resume to any of the people in Infy as suggested by Bharat. We can send it to the concerned person after inquiring about the same. If you want I can mail you the mail id of the concerned authority however it will take some time as right now I am on leave and I can do so once I reach back at office.

Since you are joining as a lateral candidate, it is expected that you have enough knowledge that is expected from a person having experience of the level you hold. So no training. Yes, there are certain trainings that you can attend if you wish to and these are open to everyone in Infosys. No specific New Joinee Training fro laterals.
How much secure Infy is??
It all depends on your work. However, Infy is quite secured.
How much work pressure is there???
Depends on the project you are working on.
How is work life balance??
Again depends on project and also on you that how you manage work and life.

It generally takes atleast 3 years to become Programmer Analyst and 6 years to become a Project Manager.

omly work-ex greater than a year, is taken into consideration for ur growth and promotion

Well i am new to this thread. I am a fresher and have been placed in Infy, but i havent been given a joining date as yet.Now the prob is theres this course by BSE regarding Capital Market which I am very interested in joining but it is a three months part time course and starts on 16 june.
IF someone could know about when infy are goin to recruit students frm Mumbai it could help me decide whether i should go for the course or not.also i m thinking dumping infy for the course and the time could be utilized by me to prepare for Cat08.
Please advice me friends..
