Oops.... Sorry abt that ...confusion..??: bands are... BT - for trainees till they are confirmes B1 -For first year after confirmation B2 -Afterwards... This B1 & B2 surely exists, I dunno whether you can see them on Sparsh. It was applied from previous CRR hence may not be mentioned in offer letter. Anyways will confirm on that thing and let ya all know. But Palak is right about this personal band and Job band thing.
Parag, I think you are correct about B1 and B2 things.
but cats on nov 18?? i am confused?? waat to do??? need advice.....getting gud scores in mocks...but garunteee nahi hai :-(:-(:-(
I am assuming that you want to know how to attend the CAT this year. Right? If not then please tell explicitly what exactly you want to know? You can do one of the following:-
1. Ask HR to delay your Date of Joining. 2. Join Infy. 18th would be Sunday. Sat and Sun are holidays in infy. So leave Infy on Friday evening and reach Mumbai(assuming that centre for CAT is mumbai). Give exam adn leave for Infy on the same day.
thanks.... can one postpone the date??? is der a provision??? and if ders none is it tough to give exams and undergo the training??? cause i also plan to give other exams?

Yes, one can postpone his date of joining by giving some proper explanation for that purpose. I think if you are confident enough that you will qualify for some B-schools then surely you can postpone the date. Because with training you won't be able to concentrate on other things. And if you do so, then there are fair chances that you might not be able to clear the training(God Forbid).
If you plan to give other exams too, then better postpone your DOJ or else keep centre as close to your training centre as possible. By the way where are you getting posted to while on training?
thanks....i am posted in mysore....dont know yet if my training is fast track...i am an electronics engineer...know nothing about java etc......so i dont want fast-track and all.....and yes failing in infosys is a huge possibility......i know many seniors who have failed..... i think accident will be a gud reason to postpone right?:lookroun:

since ur an electrical engineer, u will be in long cycle. as Palak said, ask the HR to postpone the dates.
be careful while giving accident as the excuse. u never know, they might ask u to bring some medical certificates while joining.
sisters marriage or something like that is the best excuse.

Since you are an electronics engineer, you won't be in fast track, you will have to go for Long Cycle batch that means 4 months. So, don't worry about this. As Bharat has suggested, I also think that accident won't be such a good idea.
Can u guys enlighten me on what all comes under the classification/purview of ES at Infy?...
Hi prasi,

Hi,
Short Cycle and Long Cycle. This question has been answered several times in this forum. I don't know what difference will it make to you. If it happens it is good, if not very good. Lets start once again. Since you are from IT, yes, you are eligible for Short Cycle. But wait, it is not like that. For short cycle, you need to clear a test that is organised in the first week of your joining. If the minimum number of people required for Short Cylce clear the test then only Short Cylce is started otherwise you have to be in Long Cylce.
Training can be at any of the DCs. Mysore is not the only one, however, it is the best for training.

i am in mysore now pursuing my generic training, i have completed two modules CHSSC and PT and to my surprise i have failed in both in my first attempt, CHSSC with 2 marks and PT with a big margin.
i dont know where it's going wrong, i have prepared very hard for both the exams but even then i am not able to pass the exams, i am feared about the future..........
