hi guys.. i got placed at infy during a campus pgm... rite now im doing my 7th sem in Electronics And comm... the problem is i had a practical lab exam recently.. and it was so hard... the question i got as was really tough and i hadnt done nething like that bfore... and the external Teacher killed me with the viva-voce *sigh* so there's a good chance i wnt pass that exam.. could any one tell me what's Infy's position on supplementary's..?. i mean if u have a bad paper at the date of joining do they reject you straight away or is there some other action they take??. i would really appreciate it if some one could help me with this thanks.. p.s i have an aggregate of 70%...
As you are currently doing 7 sem so i assume that you will be able to clear this paper by 8 sem. which means degree in 4 years. If thats the case, its fine. And no need to worry. One of frnd had similar case like you and he faced no problem till now in infy.
@KINO Dude, all that is important is that by the time of ur joining Infy, you should complete all the exams that is needed for the awarding of degree. they dont go into ur markscard to see how many subject u had actually flunked. so in that ways if u can clear ur exam by 8th sem its fine. if not, u need to tell infy before hand that an exam is still to be held. and u can request for a later join date.

i think its diffcult that infosys will agree for later joining date . bcoz if you are nt able to clear till 8th sem which means you need another 6 months to clear the paper and then another 1-2 months to get the result. So, its difficult to keep the things on hold till that long.

what u said is true but i never meant extending the date by saying that i have to clear my exams some other reason has to be given. like health issue......
hi,Im finishin B.Tech this May.Got placed in Infy on campus last june.We were offerred a pay package of 2.7L , but this yr the current third yr stdents are receivin a pay package of 3.3L.So does that mean wen we enter infy our's too will be raised to 3.3L?

whoa!! 3.3L is cool i don think even guys who have worked for 2 years earn as much but anyways.......u get the package what has been announced to u during joining if there has been an increase after u have joined that does not apply to u

dont get disheartened. i got package of 1.8L when i joined infy.

well dude.... joining date is pretty much a complex stuff a lot of factors are taken before announcing the joining date. if ur a comp sc. or IT guy then they might directly put u into production. but if ur non comp sc. then they will have to train u for real. and also they try to wait for a batch of similar students(read employees) before calling u for a joining date. so based on all this u can have to wait from 1 month to 6 months. one of my friends waited for 8 months, but dont worry, that wont happen
Hi, i'm about to join infosys this summer! The CTC mentioned in my offer letter dated 10th October is 2.7 Lakhs. But there are rumours that Infosys will increase it to 3.65 ! will it be for us or our juniors...
If it's for our juniors....our salaries after 1 year of work-ex and the salaries of fresh juniors would be the same...Isn't that injustice ?
i attended my infy interview on 28th feb. Till now no info regarding result. What does it mean. Generally they send regret letters right. Is there any way to contact hr. What should i do. please help me.
@manish_bengani well true that its unfair, but do we have an option dude. there has been situations where INFY has raised the salary just days after they have gone for placements to a particular college. even i heard that juniors who joined after me have got more PAY, but i cant validate any. but anyways, i feel the company wld somehow bridge the gap. hope for the better. @ravi319kumar dude......i dunno if infy sends regret letters. and generally the calls can be expected within 20 days. 1 month is a long time. yes, u can mail infy HR. expecting them to reply is another thing. i have not come across a situation where they have kept someone waiting for so long before deciding the selection

I would like to know more about the higher education programmes being offered by Infosys. I know that they have a tie up with IIM and BITS-PILANI,for MBA and MS respectively. What is the procedure to apply for the above after joining Infosys and what is the basis for selection.

It's not confirmed..but many of my batch mates in other colleges have been saying it is 3 lakhs p.a.

Hi sri, from what i learnt in the induction program after i joined Infosys, it has tie up with Bharatidasan institute for Management, and few other colleges. IIM as far as i know is not in the list. and i have never heard of anyone in Infy who has told me anything about this. Do let me know if u hear anything about this
You people who're going to join Infy from non-CS background, there're a couple juniors of mine who are B.Arch. grads and working happily in Infy. That should put your doubts to rest. In fact I'd say a CS degree is a handicap, for with it you will beat your head and wonder whether you'll ever see an algorithm again, or a hard disk, or plug in a network cable..
