hello everyone! I am a Btec. final year student. I got placed in Infosys via campus placement. I have also received my offer letter but it was written on it that they will send me the joining date later. I have not received any such letter regarding joining date. can anyone tell me till what date should I expect to receive such letter and what is the expected date of joining. Actually our college is in a isolated place so I am a little worried about it getting misplaced, although it doesnt happen very often.

u dont have to worry
as long as the news about ur selection is confirmed, u are in.
sometimes they wait until a similar employee profile for training is available.
because obviously they cant traing u with comp sc ppl if ur a non comp sci garduate, and vice versa.
when they find enough ppl of the same background, they will call u for training

First of all let me make it clear that this test is only for people with a CS/IT background.
All other stream people ought to be in the long cycle batch.
If this condition applies to you, then all i can say is -Don't worry about that test. It would be an easy one for a CS/IT guy. It has very basic questions from the things you studied during your engineering course. So you can just chill 😃

As already mentioned it contains stuff that you had already studied during your degree. It will include questions related to basics and fundamentals of software engineering, os, c, java, analysis of algos, etc. Means all the stuff that you studied before.

What do you want to do in life? If MBA is your life; how much are you worth, to be more precise; are you good enough for the top 20 odd MBA colleges? Do you feel ICFAI Bangalore is your best shot, or you can get calls from far better colleges? If yes, then I would suggest not joining the fore mentioned mba colleges. Definitely a job (be it infosys or Tcs, etc) is better.
But on the contrary, if you feel the above colleges are good enough, if you feel giving the mba exams again is not worth going through, then do join any of the college. 😃

are u talking about office work as in infosys?
well as far as i know, infy accepts any graduates.
and since work ex is just 1 year, u(or whomesoever ur referring to) wld have to join as a fresher.

well the confirmation is sent via mail. thats for sure
but joining information is sent via mail as well as posted to ur address.
but sometimes ppl get the post much after the mail arrives.
(one of my friend got the jpining date post 1 month after he joined infosys)
so its very important that u update ur mail-id with infy.
moreover its been really long since u've been selected. generally they call u by now.
the test should not be an issue if ur a comp-sc graduate.
its simple paging, registers, memory, algorithms, networking stuff.
just brush up on computers basics

As Ninja said it is you who have to decide what you want to do. If you are sure that joining ICFAI Bangalore will mean that you are hampering your career and in next try you can get a better college then join a company and gain some exp otherwise you can join ICFAI.

Don't worry if you cannot access email. Infy also sends hard copy of offer letter. And if you dont even receive that then you can just call them up and request for a new copy.

I thought we have to keep one with us and one will be given to the company so may be we dont have to send anything to Infosys. But somewhere one person told me that we have to send one signed copy to Infosys as soon as the offer letter reaches us. What should I do? There is no such thing as sending the letter to the company written anywhere on the letter. Please help.

you need to sign one copy and give it Infosys.
but u dont need to send it.
you will be handing it over to infy HR directly.
that will take place during the induction.

you neednt to send any copy to infosys. they will get you sign the offer letter on the date of your joining..

if you have the hard copy of offer letter, then dont worry about it.
Also, no need to owrry about the training there as there will many people like you. Also infy will provide good training material as well as hands on expereince. so training will be cool.

if you have knowledge about computer language then you can find the job in IT firms easily
