shall i buy these buks ?......did any1 here followd these buks nd is th understandabilty rate fr these buks gud fr a not so excellently intelligent student.....fr C programming i followed yashwant kanetkar......is tht buk enough.......????

no no no! :) You bring back memories of my last week of the holidays before my infy joining date! :) I had completely ignored this part, and saw it only a few days before my joining! Went bonkers when i saw the list... had one or two of the books, hoplelessly tried to *study* on the train, couldn't get past the first 10 pages! :)
Fortunately i had 6 more college buddies joining me in bangalore in the same hotel; all of us had the same query to each other, and hilariously all of us were in the same boat!!!
Chill, they advise you to brush up these topics, if you do it would be an advantage during the training, but it's not an necessity! Try to go through them if you get time (and the books :- if you got the cash, it's never bad to buy books right!) But on a economical view, try to get ebooks of these or try some local library.
btw i did go through these books during my 4 years in college in their respective semesters, they are damn good for understanding concepts, all three of them! 😃

chill the reason they ask u to read those books is cause in training the first subject taught to u is CHSSC-computer software and hardware concepts the second is c programming and the 3rd is RDBMS. these are the 3 fundamental concepts, whcih if u know u will be able to learn any programming language. as ninja pointed out, it helps if u went thru the books, if u dont, relax, the books they give u is very good and more than enought for u to learn the concepts
so is it ok if i revise thos buks wch i followed earlier( other authors ) ........or els is it like ths.....it was easy fr yu guys bcos yu hav gone thru them during yur semester period........i thnk it wont make much difference wth wat buk im refering..??? nd bharath... did u refer th same buks or els any othr..??? ( during yur sem time)...by th way r u both frm cs ??

Odd figure out/next figure. Pretty tough.
11-15.
Data sufficiency. very easy and have ur quants level decent.
16-20.
Data Interpretation. Very easy.The CAT junta can easily do this part.
21-25.
Damn easy reasoning puzzle. 4 cricket players with 4 personality types and 4 batting styles. Q's wont be direct.
26-30.
Syllogism. Pretty easy.Prepare from reasoning-Biswal(check spelling of author name.ask for a reasoning book other than agarwal.u would be given this book)

I was asked to sign my resume and give.While signing,I casually looked at one mam..she was staring at me like how i do look and judging me.
I got nervous.taking the appl. form,she started q'ing me.

HR1:where u r working and where did ur UG?
HR1:xtra curricular activity?
HR1:20% drop in UG from school? I had a ready made answer but i forgt all,started blabbering and gave the worst answer.

Hey eminem,,,When was ur interview, Was it on 20 or 21 Nov.ANd Where were u given ur test and Plz inform me if u got offer letter.
I had been in event managemt and NSS and q's related to that. They thought that i am quite timid and q's were related to tht. Then a stress test(puzzle like).I was cool,smiled and simply blinked.And later finally was asked abt myself.nothinng much.
I was not satisfied with my performance.I was waiting impatiently for an hour and finally i was called for 2nd round.I relaxed and kept my mind calm.There was only one mam in early thirties.It was a formal round about hobbies and xtra curricluat act.she asked abt my test and intervieew experience.i cheerfully answered that i did english better and interview was ok like.she was quite satisfied with my explanations. I asked a few good q's.I hope i did it well.

They mainly check for team work ability,confidence(but i was a bit nervous),honesty and a fluent way f communication.Though i was tensed,i kept my communication level fluent.

forget refreeshing books, i had not much idea about "c" programming as well
everything that i learnt is in mysore. somewhere in the last page i have written a long naration of life in mysore #1019, if u have a look u will see that my time was totally mismanaged(most ppl end up doing the same thing)
even if u have zero idea about the stuff that u r going to learn, the facility provided and the material provided to u is so damn good, that if u sincerly do ur work, clearing the tests is a breeze.
dont get anxious with things, if ur someone who is sincere with work, u should have no problem
wanted to know about MS. i have completed my B.E in information TEchnology. i want to ask why are people so mad for doing ms in US and Aus. i mean is that worth it? or just for the reason that they are tryin for ways to settle in such countries. Isnt doing some good job better or is ms better.

Infosys has a one year bond. You can break the bond but then you won't get the relieving letter (which signifies your work-ex). And regarding your query on your posting after your training, it depends on a set of factors:- -> You'll be asked for your preference during your training -> Work requirements at different locations in specific streams

No infy does not have any contract system. And yes you have to sign a bond of one year. There are some complications involved if you break the bond in between. And you will get to know about your postings once you are into the last week of your training. You can't even guess before that where you could be posted
