hey guys i am a fresher i had applied for infoys and have got a mail now from infosys saying that thers a test at 19 of November in bangalore. and when is the interview held after the aptitude test, is it on the next day itself?
have any of u guys too received it. and i hope thers certainly goin to be a test. i am from ahmedabad and not gettin tickets for bangalore so i want to be sure of the test

(i had my training at bangalore campus) In fact so much did we play, they had to put a fence around the volleyball court; (it shared the border with a canteen) to my memory, we had broken around two window panes, a few glass mugs and hit umpteen ppl sitting in the canteen!Hi.. Hi Guys, M also gng to Delhi for giving test on 19 Nov., But m also not confirmed abt changed pattern of Test, Bcoz new pattern having test of 75min.(30-Maths+45-Verbal) but in our call letter they specially included that Aptitude test is of 90 min.(1 hour A and L Reasoning and English test).
SO NOW HOW CAN THEY CHANGE THEIR WORDS.

Well guys had my infy test on this 19 and they had no puzzles. it was kinda quanti, english stuff. well then had my hr which was strange they asked wierd questions which were puzzles with no answer

my test was only quants.
though tis was some time back, so dont know if the pattern has been changed.
btm @ hell, the interviews are generally only to test if u can speak something atleast. most of the times infy does not kick anyone who clears the written test. a couple of my friends were asked puzzles too during the interviews and they did not answer it. but they are here.

MY first HR round was not that satsfactory.
Did the 2nd HR round well and the lady was quite impressed?
Y do they take 2-3 weeks to send cnfirmation?

1-5.
10cm Cube with 2 colors painted cut several times resulting in 1000 cubes.
5 q's based on no. of cubes colored one face,two face adn atleast two faces.
6-10.
Odd figure out/next figure.
Pretty tough.
11-15.
Data sufficiency.
very easy and have ur quants level decent.
16-20.
Data Interpretation.
Very easy.The CAT junta can easily do this part.
21-25.
Damn easy reasoning puzzle.
4 cricket players with 4 personality types and 4 batting styles.
Q's wont be direct.
26-30.
Syllogism.
Pretty easy.Prepare from reasoning-Biswal(check spelling of author name.ask for a reasoning book other than agarwal.u would be given this book)
English.
Very very simple.
1-10.
2 big RCs with direct Q's.
11-20. Fill ups
21-30. sentence correction (refer PG sentence correction thread)
31-40. Inference
Time management is the factor to clear the test.
I did a 20 correct in reasoning and 38 correct in english.
More weightage to english.
HR 2 rounds.
If u get into 2nd HR round,almost done.(but am anxious and waiting...

Yes,,,The pattern is above right,,and With God's Grace I cleared written exam of Infy's 19 Nov. test,,,and My Both HR interviews were gone well,,,In 1st interview They asked me two puzzles,,and I answered one and secondly I jst gave the procedure to solve.
Now m also waiting for their results..Its 2nd week,,they told me that they will inform me in 3 weeks,,,so waiting for them.

i hav received my offer letter nd in tht they suggested few books like ..........C PROGRAMMING BY KERNIGHAN n RITCHIE...,FUNDAMENTALS OF DATABASE SYSTEMS ,ELMASRI ,NAVATHE THIRD ED,ADDISON WESLEY.....,OPERATING SYSTEMS CONCEPTS BY SILBERSCHATZ ND GALVIN,ADDISON WESLEY....!!.........i never followed these buks (though i followd th other fr these subjects)........
shall i buy these buks ?......did any1 here followd these buks nd is th understandabilty rate fr these buks gud fr a not so excellently intelligent student.....fr C programming i followed yashwant kanetkar......is tht buk enough.......????
