I also took the test on June 11th at Chennai(st.Michaels Academy), took up the interview on the 13th of June....I also did well, and did not get any info from the HR.....I think we need to wait for some more time.....Lets hope for the best. Let me know of you get the call letter.

Infy just recruited 2000 people on the same day. Do you think that is even remotely possible if they send out confirmation letters in 2 weeks? I think you people need to hang in there a little longer. 2 weeks is a little too aggressive on your part. It usually take 4-6 weeks for them to respond.
AND they will!! They always do... But if all of you are uneasy about this, then i suggest that 1 of you send them a mail. They will repond, but again this is not the right time to contact them. Controlling 2000, the next 2 weeks will be hell!! I speak from experience. My batch was only 480, and it was the then largest ever, and they get very confused and peturbed. So please, they are humans and not machines.... give them some time....

I got selected in Infy thru campus and got my joining date as 17th July, problem is last sem results are not declared and they say they don't want any results pending.
My tickets are already booked. Should I take a chance and go there or should I get my joining postponed. Has anyone been thru a similar situation???

hey, moi was in a similiar situation two years back. We(the junta from my college) took the risk and landed up at Mysore. On the day when we had the documents checked, we let the HR guys(anyone remembers Sudheer Pai) know about our last sem marks...wasn't much of an issue at all. Methinks things wont have changed much.

I dont think this will be a cause for concern. A lot of universities declare their results very late in the year. They will ask you for a date on which you think the university will declare the results. Also, they might tell everyone that this is the last date for the results to be shown.
But even then, that is not a problem. They are not very hard and fast on this rule. You should get into the company... They really dont care what your final sem marks are going to be, unless you screw them up pretty bad!!!

I will start off this post with the details of the Infy Training period.
Disclaimer - There are many streams in infy and there is no special reason if you get into one or the other. It's completely random. Also, there is no guarantee that you will always keep on working on the stream you were trained in.
Also, there are 2 types of cycles - Long and Short
Short - Comp. Sc. and IT, duration apprx 8-10 weeks
Long - remaining branches, duration apprx 16-20 weeks
I have not been in touch with any fresher for long...
So wait for a few days (2) and i'll post more information straight from a horse's mouth...

I attended interview (experinced catelory : >5 Years) in Chennai on 27th May, 2006. I had both technical & HR round. Still now I do not hear anything back from them.
Any one attended interview on this date in Chennai, please let me know if you have heared anything from Infy.

i recieved the offer letter from infosys technologies just today i.e 07.07.06.they did not give any joining date n told that they will be sending it in few days later.i took the test on 11th jun n attended the interview on 13 th jun at hyderabad.
